Time for another round of Nice To Know You Wednesdays + this weeks 5 questions is from The 30 Day Challenge which I found here, I have just revised a few questions. Here goes:

1. Here’s my most recent picture with my little one. This was taken when we went out to watch The Avengers a week before Mother’s Day. We were just clowning + goofing while strolling around the crowd-laden mall. + here are 5 facts about me:

  • I love reading + even reads the dictionary on my spare time when I was little!
  • I enjoy going on a stroll in the park with my son to pass the afternoon away
  • I love collecting postcards + key chains from everywhere!
  • I have never ridden a plane in this lifetime + would love to do it very soon!
  • I do not know how to swim + would love to learn the skill

papa’s 5th death anniversary

Today marks my father’s 5th death anniversary. I cannot believe that it has been 5 years already, we sure miss him every single day + cannot help but think that life will be so much better if he + my Mama were around. The little man would’ve had a better + fun childhood that is for sure! His grandparents would’ve smoldered him with kisses + love, + Papa would’ve spoiled him rotten, too!

…we miss you everyday, Pa, I guess losing a father is one of those things that never really grow on you no matter what you do. I keep looking back at those wonderful memories, those summers in my childhood spent biking around the neighborhood, laying our tattered old mat in the rice field + flying kites. I remember the last few months we spent with you + that fateful day, like it was yesterday. I will tell Jared all about you when he is bigger + I promise I will make sure that I pass onto my little man everything that you taught me, hopefully including the love for word puzzles + books, too!

I know that you are in a much better place now, Pa, but I cannot simply stop to think how our lives will be like if you + Mama were still around. We shall continue to uphold the values + lessons that you taught us + hopefully, in our own little way we make you proud up there!

Though, I have never really seen you danced, I wish I did + what I wouldn’t give to have that dance with you…We shall see you again, Pa, until then know that you will always be loved + missed!

Yesterday I have shared a few gift ideas for men in time for Father’s Day + here are a few more items you might want to consider gifting the most important man in your life on his big day:

  • A new shaving kit can very well be one of the best gifts you might give Dad, as shaving is one of the things he does everyday + updating his shaving kit, + throwing in a bottle of a luxurious shaving oil can be a sure-fire way to jump start his day! 
  • You can print personalized greeting cards + let the little ones scribble their sweet notes for Dad! For the babies who cannot doodle just yet, you can try stamping these cards with their hand or footprints, I bet dad will love this!
  • Let dad take a breather from the hard day’s work by chilling a few bottles of his favorite drinks in the ref + serving them to him when he’s home. You can also decorate these bottles with colorful Father’s Day printables to make them more appealing to the man of the house.
  • For your bookworm dad, a copy or two of his favorite paperbacks will be very much appreciated. Wrap them in colorful papers + attach your personalized note for a complete beautiful package. 
  • Tickets to Sunday’s basketball or baseball game also sounds like a wonderful gift idea for Dad. I bet he will have a splendid time outdoors + witnessing his favorite team win the game!
