The Aristocrat Kiddie Party for Kelsy + Liesl

We were recently invited to one magical kiddie party of birthday girls Kelsey and Liesl held at The Aristocrat in Roxas Boulevard. It has been ages since I’ve been to this place and I fondly remember my delightful gastronomic experience when I once went there with my teammates from my former work so I decided to go and tag the little man along. And I am just so glad I did! The party was truly one beautiful celebration that even kids-at-hearts like me enjoyed.

Cake-decorating activities for children

The Prince and Princes-themed kiddie party had all the elements of one perfect children’s birthday party: the stage decked with colorful balloons, photo souvenirs, adorable and delicious cupcakes, complete with a projector showing a classic Disney film which my son simply cannot wait to check out. Smiling faces wearing colorful costumes of famous Fairy Tale characters also greeted us by the door and ushered us to the magical soiree. Clowns in stilts roam around the party venue and willingly posed with the guests for souvenir shots, the kids simply adore him! The kids are also kept entertained with activities such as balloon twisting, face painting and cupcake-decorating. The children also went home with a cool party loot bags!

One of the things that set this party apart from the rest is the Make Believe Storytelling {this is actually the first time I’ve seen one in a children’s party} where the little ones not only enjoy listening to one great story but got the chance to participate in it, too. Another highlight of this one-of-a-kind kiddie party is the breathtaking Sunset Kalesa ride, which my son and I tried before heading home. Jared was pretty excited when he saw the horse and cannot wait to give it a go!  😀

Of course, who can forget about the feast The Aristocrat prepared for the celebrants and their guests? The adults lined up for a buffet of very delectable food items which is what The Aristocrat is most known for, while the children are served with their own platter of party delights that included burgers, chicken lollipop, pork barbecue and spaghetti. By the time I made it to the buffer table, most of the dishes are gone but I was able to sample the fish fillet with tartar sauce, fresh lumpiang ubod, and the famous Pork spareribs with the mouth-watering java sauce!

Our children’s birthdays are one of the most important occasions not only in their lives, but in our lives, too. We would like to give them the best and the most memorable celebration and see their beautiful faces light up as each of our birthday surprises are revealed. The Aristocrat kiddie party we joined was indeed one magical party that am sure kiddie birthday celebrants as well as their guests will thoroughly enjoy.

Another blessing came in the mail recently. This time it was my prize from Working Mama and Dezign with a Z Giveaway! The item arrived shortly after I have placed my order and I went to work and placed it on our bedroom one lazy evening. The little man loved it!

I was also fortunate that Dezign with a Z agreed to give me another item for free in exchange for my review. I chose this wall decal clock, this time, which I plan to put in our living room. This item was shipped together with my giveaway prize. I shall be featuring it on a review post next.

A Few More Back-To-School Essentials

tips + tricks, mum's thoughts, school
cheap address label, tableware + face towels

A few more weeks and we are saying goodbye to the beautiful summer season and ushering in the cold rainy months {at least in our part of the globe}. Along with the wet weather, we also welcoming the new school year and I am sure as early as two months ago mums of school-aged kids are already hoarding on school stuffs like bags, books, shoes and uniforms. Shopping for these items early will prove to be beneficial as prices are expected to hike up once the opening of school nears. Plus you also get to avoid the maddening crowd that almost always comes with last-minute shopping. If I were to shop for the little man’s school stuff, I know I will visit the mall or the bookstore earlier to avoid the rush and the stress that goes with it.

Anyway, am sure most mums are probably set and ready for the new school year, but for those who will be doing another quick visit to the bookstore to get things that they might have forgotten the first time, you might as well stock up on these essentials, too.

  • Cheap address labels ~ are most ideal especially for pre-school kids who might have difficulty figuring out which notebooks are theirs in a mound of several dozens of identical notebooks. I recommend you get those personalized address labels and add a couple of your little one’s favorite cartoon character or super hero in them so that he can spot his stuff easily.
  • Colorful face towels ~ get the 100% combed cotton type which are perfect for children who perspire profusely. They can use them to wipe sweat and dirt from their skin and double as a perfect cloth to put on their backs on a hot afternoon. I am a fan of these face towels and I got mine from Bench. They sell for Php69 each and are available in a wide array of colors so you can get a set for your little boy or your fashionista little girl
  • Spoon/fork/chopstick set ~ this is perfect for mums who prepare their children’s meal for school. Throw in one of these set and your kiddos are good to go. It even comes with a cute bag to stuff the tableware in so they can easily stash it in their bags or lunchbox. I found this at  Landmark in Trinoma. The bag comes in different colors so you can get the one in your little tots favorite shade. They sell at Php49 a set.

I am sure you have a few more back-to-school essentials to add to this list so do not forget to drop a comment and tell me all about it! Here’s to another great school year ahead!  😀
