The little man is currently on school break for a week and I would really love for him to do more activities aside from playing his games and watching youtube videos on his tablet. Am being more lenient and allowing him more hours on his tablet than his usual 2-hours-a-day-on-a-weekend when school is up. Good thing I found a number of apps online that would not only keep the little one entertained for hours on end but will also teach him about letters, numbers, children songs and a whole lot more. Good thing I stumbled upon Kids Academy earlier this year and have downloaded 3 of their apps.
What I love about the Kids Academy App?
- I love the eye-candy design that appeals to most tots
- Their apps are ideal for children ages 5 years and below
- They have loads of fun activities and games for the little ones to enjoy
- They are for free!
- They also have about 100 of interactive worksheets the children can finish to pass the time while learning and enjoying
- With the aid of these apps, mums can easily introduce the concept of numbers, letters, colors, and a whole lot more to pre-schoolers or first-time schoolers
- Mums can also easily introduce the rudiments of reading and learning about phonics with these apps
- Now mums have another safe environment on the tablet for the children to spend their time

My kids always associate the tablet to MineCraft, which is why I haven’t considered other educ apps for a while. 🙂 But this one looks good. Maybe in a few months…
I love montessori kind of learning and I incorporate these to my kids as well. I have all three apps too and my kids love them too 🙂
i feel the same about Montessori learning materials + I try to introduce as much of their concepts to my little one.
Kids nowadays do love apps that suits with their passion. A good way to introduce them to these educational apps while they’re growing up.

I wish I learned about this when my daughter was younger we could have used it.
this would’ve come handy in teaching Adee when she was little. Am sure there are also other age-appropriate app available for her now.
Educational apps are good for kids, but I would want the kids to get too hook up on devices.
i feel you. i do not want my little man to get too hooked on his device, too, so i make sure i only allow him 2 hours of play each time, if i can have my way.

Thanks for sharing the apps. I’m not sure if my son will like this, he’s a bit grown up na for apps but this a new way of learning for toddlers.

A friend and I were just talking about educational apps in relation to my “No iPad” rule for my son. I think it’s good that these gadgets are being maximized as a tool for learning, and not just for games.
We also have a “no ipad” rule at home during weekdays. i just hope i can curb the gadget use on weekends, too, but sometimes i just can’t help but give in when the little one asks for extensions.
