The little man and I was excited for this year’s Halloween because of the Mommy Bloggers Philippines‘ Halloween Party! Of course it is a given that the little one will be all excited about the idea of wearing his Harry Potter costume and the prospect of meeting up with mum bloggers that I get to interact online daily was more than enough to make me giddy like a little girl! ^_^
Trick Or Treat At Fun Ranch’s The Big Red Barn
The much-anticipated party was held on 18 October at the Big Red Barn of Fun Ranch in Ortigas. It is much appreciated that Fun Ranch reserved the Great Big Room so the big crowd of mums, kiddos, and families can enjoy comfortable and the little ones had plenty of space to roam and run around.
As I’ve mentioned, Jared channeled his inner Harry Potter and from the looks of it, and judging from the way he happily played and roamed around the party venue, he absolutely enjoyed the experience. Too bad, great photos were scarce as it was rather difficult to take good shots of a child while he was too busy running all over the place!
The Party
The program for the day was hosted by mum Marie of mamaneesnest.com. There were beautiful song, dance and other performances by kiddos of Mommy Blogger Philippines members. Amazing items from our dear sponsors were also raffled off every now and then, and even when I was not lucky to win anything, I am glad a lot of other mums get to enjoy products from different companies who came to support our gathering.
The little one and I also enjoyed having our photos taken at the Pixtar Photobooth! 🙂
Of course, the highlight of the event was the cute, cuddly, amazing and scary costumes the little ones donned for the day and the trick or treat part where not only children got to bring home treats, but the mums also got to bring home a bagful of treats, too! Shouts out to our sponsors for not letting mums go home empty-handed! Good thing I bought my big eco bag with me, I had plenty of space there for the Maya Pancake Mix boxes, a bevy of bottled treats I got upon registration, the gift bag that contained Fly Ace Corp.’s Al Dente Pasta, Jolly Mushroom, Good Life Oyster Sauce and Jolly Cow Fresh Milk.
The Treats + Event Sponsors
I got the chance to roam around and check out the booths on display and I am glad to see a lot of familiar brands, including Frootees, Bonakid, Nestea, Absolute, Sunkist, The Mind Museum, Krispy Kreme, Good Life, Jolly Eats, Sansfluo, Toy Kingdom, Jolly Cow, Zoomanity Group, and the brand I was most excited about, The Cream Factory! I got to try a couple of their variants and I really loved them!
Slots in the program were also allotted for short presentations of the event sponsors, and one of the things that the crowd enjoyed the most was the cooking demo from Jolly, where we got to watch how Halloween recipes like Eyeball Spaghetti, Pumpkin and Corn Chowder, and Cheesy Corn Fingers were prepared. Mums and kids also enjoyed the Maya Kitchen booth and demo where they got to prepare cute-looking pan cakes themselves.
What I Love About The Halloween Party?
I love the program, the treats of the party, but most importantly, I love the crowd and although the place was buzzing with activities and there are probably more than 40 mums in attendance that day, I was glad I was able to catch up with a few mum friends, Mummy Peh and mars Jem, as well bumped into other mums I have just met before through previous blogging events, like mums Lani, Kat and Mel. It was just unfortunate that we were not able to snap a few shots. Good thing we managed to have a couple of group photos taken towards the end of the program!
It was easy to say that everyone had a wonderful time at the party. Although I did not get to speak with most of the mums, it was an amazing experience to be part of the first ever Mommy Bloggers Philippines Halloween Party. Kudos to mum Lani {MBP mum-in-charge} and the event committee for a job well done! Until our next event mums! ^_^
Where do you plan to go for Trick or Treat this year? I hope you have a lovely Halloween wherever you decide to spend it. We might be going ahead of others and visit my parents’ graves later today and have a last-minute visit to the mall to buy some candles and stuff. By the way, if you are a mum blogger who want to be part of our exclusive events, do join our Mommy Blogger Philippines Facebook Group now! 🙂

Awww! How I wish I could also have the chance to attend MBP events. I’m just a new member and I actually live over seas, but we will be coming home for a vacation this December. Hopefully, they will conduct another event for the Christmas season so that I can also meet the mommy bloggers in person.
let’s cross our fingers for another event in time for Christmas so you might be able to experience an MBP event. Welcome to Mommy Bloggers Philippines, I hope I’d bump into you on our Facebook group one of these days! 🙂
I like the Harry Potter costume. This is one of my suggestions when my son had costume parade (book character) in school but he prefers Robin Hood or Peter Pan.
i was lucky the little guy liked this idea. his first choice was Transformer’s Optimus Prime
I love your son’s costume! It looks like you had loads of fun. I hope I can attend events next year!

Nice costume mommy! Jared looks like the boy who lived. Thank you for sharing this wonderful event. We had fn too during our Halloween party celebration.
I like the Harry Potter Costume, I bought a harry potter costume online at Costume House for my nephew last Halloween and he really looks great.. perfect for Halloween Party. Now I’m thinking for something new this coming November, I guess I’ll visit the costume house again they really sell some good costumes.
Halloween costumes are a lot of fun! I hope my little one will have a chance to wear his Ninja Turtles costume for this year.
