Every year, we look forward to these spectacular Christmas decorations at the SM Malls. I guess it has been a yearly tradition for most of us to take photos with those humongous Christmas trees and with Santa, too! It is good to know that SM is keeping up with the tradition, and in time for Christmas season this year, SM Malls launch #MerrySMChristmas.
#MerrySMChristmas: The Princess In Me
The Atrium of SM City North EDSA ~ The Block turned into one grand royal ball in time for the Princess In Me launch. Pink was the color of the day as you will see this tint at every turn ~ from the lovely mini nail and hair salon booth for little princesses at the Royal Court to uber cute pink treats at the equally beautiful banquet.
Barbie, in different appearances like Cinderella, Belle, Snow White and enchanting fairies, is present to send cheers to little Barbie enthusiasts who also came with their most favorite Barbie garb or dollies. Dazzling celebrities also came to partake in the momentous occasion, including the other half of Team Kramer, Cheska and little girl, Kendra, model/actress Phoemela Barranda, Daphne Osena-Paez with her daughter, Miriam Quiambao, Danda Muraoka with parents Fatima Rabago and Hideo Muraoka, just to name a few. Celebrities Raymond Gutierrez and Denise Laurel were also present to do the hosting for the royal program. The Manila Philharmonic Orchestra, on the other hand, was commissioned to serenade all the ball attendees with equally enthralling pieces. A fashion show participated in by little girls in their princess outfits also made the event more interesting.
The highlight of the royal gathering is the lighting of the Princess Tree and present to grace the beautiful occasion was Mr. Hans Sy, Jr. The 20-foot tree made of fabulous dresses lit up the entire atrium as it comes to life with bedazzling Christmas lights.
To share the spirit of Christmas, SM invited children from Childhaus to join the festivities and no less than Mr. Hans Sy himself shared gifts to the excited children.
It was unfortunate that we got to the event too late and missed out the program and the festivities, but the princess in me did enjoy the mesmerizing pink treats and did not miss the chance to have some photos taken at the event. I am also delighted that even when the little man refused to have his photo taken with the Barbies, he indulged me with this cute pose with one of my mum blogger friends daughty, Kiat. Isn’t she lovely and don’t they look too good together?
The little one also enjoyed posing in front of the big Christmas tree made of bears just outside the grand Royal Ball venue. This amazingly cute tree of bears is in support of SM Christmas Bears of Joy. For Php200, anyone can get to keep one of these uber cute bears and donate the other one to children from different charitable institutions and orphanages connected with the SM Cares Program. I thought it was a clever idea, and a great way to teach little children about generosity, especially this coming Yuletide season.
SM Malls launches their #MerrySMChristmas simultaneously in different malls in the metro, so do not forget to check out the local branch near you. To know more about their promos and special programs for Christmas, do follow SM Malls through:
