I mentioned in my VanEATy RestoCafe post that I will write about our ultimate pampering experience at KukoCo Nail Bar next, so here goes.
After our gastronomic adventure in Malolos, it is time for our group of #BulacanBloggers to proceeded to Sta.Maria for a sparty. Originally situated in Caypombo, Sta. Maria, Bulacan, KukoCo opened its doors to Bulakenos seeking some well-deserved pampering in November, 2012 and transferred later on to its current and bigger location in San Gabriel.
We all felt like queens upon seeing their welcome note at the door and the lovely feast they prepared for us. They really pulled out all the stops and even closed the place especially for us! I absolutely love each colorful detail + accent in their set up, it went well with the equally beautiful and rustic feel of their salon.
We are made to choose between 2 different pampering treatment packages to try that day. I opted for package 2, which includes hands spa with manicure, foot spa with pedicure, and Dagdagay foot massage, an ultimate pampering experience, won’t you agree? I have never tried this sort of foot massage and I got really curious to give it a go. It was an old form of a local massage that uses wooden sticks between the toes for a more relaxing massage.
Before we start with our pampering treat, we had a short tour of the salon to check out their facilities. I am particularly enamored with the thought-provoking quotes they hang on their walls. I made a mental note to check these in the mall so I can get a couple for our home, I sure could use the inspiration on a daily basis. They have thoughtfully-decorated and well-designed massage rooms. I am particularly interested in the full-body massage treatment and decided to tag Jared’s dad here one of these days so we can both try it, it has been ages since we last did + my hard-working boss sure could use a good full-body massage very soon.
After our tour, it is time to take one of their uber comfy chairs and begin our relaxing treat. It was rather too difficult to choose among the many nail polish colors they have available. In the end, I settled for this blue polish for my fingernails + this shade for my toes {both names have escaped me now, though}. It is good to note that they only use top-notch products in the salon, their nail polishes are made of organic ingredients, suitable even for children. A wonderful idea, especially for mums with girls who tag their little dolls during their salon visit. I also found out they even offer massage for kids, now we can tag our little man along to our body massage dates!
The handspa/mani-pedi/Dagdagay treatment is very ideal for busy mums who are always on their feet and have no time to pamper themselves with all the many things they have to worry about. The native foot massage was such a curious treatment, using wooden sticks between the toes and in pressure points. The wooden sticks are rather intimidating at first, but it sure was a relaxing foot massage treatment and I am glad I gave it a try.
