I was so excited when I received my package containing the stack of Christmas cards I won in a giveaway recently. Thank you Mommy Rubz for shipping it to my place. I made these personalized cards + filled it with photos of the little man {too bad I haven’t much good photos of him, so I had to make do with what’s available at the time}.

Traveling is one of the passions I discovered albeit belatedly (read: I discovered it at a point when I am not that mobile {tagging my little one along all the time + a host of baby-related accoutrements along with it} + not that financially capable to do it quite often :().
Back when I was younger I don’t really take to traveling + all the hoopla surrounding it, that much. I am content in my own little world that any disturbance or slight change on my daily routine annoyed + fazed me.
But, maybe I am getting old, that I now look forward to more travel adventures with my little man + his dad. In fact, I now consider it a personal milestone + victory that we get to travel along with our toddler + although it takes a huge amount of effort to do so, I am always delighted whenever we manage to visit places we’ve never been before + do things we’ve never done before.
In fact, I am so much into traveling now that I am making my own travel blog + if I get lucky {or find enough time} I’d be able to launch it within the next week or two. How does Musings + Meanderings sound to you {I’ve actually ventured into making this subdomain “https://musingsandmeanderings.jaredslittlecorner.info” but something went wrong that when I was to log into the new wp blog, the page is no longer uploading. I’m just glad sis Ma Belle, bless her, was able to fix it for me, so I’ll visit good ol’ c-panel again to install WordPress again using Fantastico ;)}. I’d feature our little family travels there + include souvenirs and postcards, too {loads of postcards! :)}
Talking about it is getting me so excited! Now, I must finish some more tasks so I’ll have some free time to mull things over my new travel blog later tonight. Wish me luck 😉

I’ve mentioned on several occasions about my new found passion of collecting postcards. I’ve joined this postcrossing site where you can swap with other postcard enthusiasts from anywhere in the world. I’m also a member of our little group in Facebook {which was put up by our very own Mommy Ruby + Mommy Willa}, the Postcrossing Enthusiasts group, where I get to keep in touch with people of like minds. We have members from other parts of the globe, too, like the Netherlands + Morocco.
As part of our swapping schemes, we are to send every birthday celebrant a birthday postcard {of course, it is not mandatory, but a lot of members have been sending birthday postcards since we’ve put our birthdays there!}. I’ve only sent a couple of these + plan to send one to each of the celebrants this September, just so I can put on a smile on their faces on their big days 🙂
Some members have sent me birthday postcards the past weeks + they totally put a big smile on my face when I received them. I am most touched by the sweet gesture + when I got these lovely pink Hello Kitty postcards from Mommy Clang, I just bawled over! They are the cutest, + bless her for being very thoughtful, she even sent me two of them!
