In the light of the tragic March 11 incident in Japan, and as the country continues its battle to locate missing people, rescue stranded residents, relocate victims + provide food, shelter and comfort to everyone who is grief-stricken, Japan is yet faced with another crisis – the scare of nuclear radiation brought by the meltdown in one of its Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plants’ reactor – and it is high time we do whatever we can to help their country + its people, Zynga, the company that brought us all those exciting interactive games, like FarmVille,CafeWorld + their newest hit,CityVille, on facebook, came out with a fundraising drive to aid the tsunami-devastated + earthquake-torn Japan thru the Japan Earthquake Tsunami Emergency Fund.
All you need to do is buy any of the specially-labeled Japanese style decorations (in cafe cash) + Zynga will donate 100% of the purchase price to aid the save the children’s cause to answer the ongoing + urgent needs of Japanse children.
Now, that’s CafeWorld for a cause, right? Simply choose any of these zen-inspired items +
decorate your cafe Japanese style: indoor zen garden, karaoke garden, mystical creatures, sword display, armor display, bamboo fountain, sumo wrestler or a ninja. a bamboo fountain would be perfect for my jared’s cafe. you not only update your cafe’s interior but is doing something for a worthy cause too. now, must work at my cafe to earn those cash so i can purchase a japanese decor + in turn donate a little to our Japanese brethren. i hope you do to…
And let us all continue to pray for Japan + its people.
For this week’s Pink Friday (sorry for the late entry – this mum was not able to wake up in the wee hours of the morning as the little man decided to stay up until almost midnight last night) here is my sister’s (I don’t own much stuff toy, much less pink ones) pink stuff toy, Kappo (says so in her chest). This is a present for sissie from one of her friends who recently went home from Dubai. My son instantly fell in love with Kappo + plays with her a lot. But, of late + with his recent fascination with balls + the game of soccer (he tends to think every thing is fit for a soccerball – empty distilled water gallons, pillows + blankies!), he makes Kappo a one fine, pink socer ball, much to her dislike!
Click on that pink badge + check out other pink entries + don’t forget that a Pink Friday entry earns you a point for the Pink Fabulous Giveaway.
