Join The 1st TropicalSwells SurfCamp!

Summer is finally here and if you’ve ran out of exciting and fun activities for the little ones to try this year, then you are in the right place as I share all about surfing and TropicalSwells! Surfing is something I absolutely want for the little man and myself to try {now I really have to work on my swimming skills!}, so I truly find it exciting that someone is now offering a surf camp up north. Read on to know more about them and be ready for an awesome summer experience with your family!

Surf’s Up with TropicalSwells

TropicalSwells, a Philippine surf school that offers a fun and safe surf experience for beginners, avid enthusiasts and all interested members of your family, is holding an intensive SurfCamp that starts at a wave pool in Subic and graduates you on the open. The intensive SurfCamp will be a 3-days, 2-nights surf trip on April 29, 2016 to May 1, 2016, teaching you the basics of surfing while arming you with courage and confidence, allowing you to experience being and feeling stoked, and preparing you for surfing ocean waves. At the end of the intensive SurfCamp, each participant will receive a certification of completion from TropicalSwells.

The 1st TropicalSwells SurfCamp will accommodate 15 registrants. The package costs PhP 12,000.00 per participant, and this includes six surf sessions (with the use of surf boards, rashguards and other surf equipment required for each surf session), transportation, accommodation and food. For those who would like to try out surfing first, we recommend joining TropicalSwells’ IntroSurf. It’s a day-trip on April 24, 2016 that costs only PhP 3,000.00 per person. The IntroSurf package includes 1 surf session (with the use of surf boards, rashguards and other surf equipment required for each surf session), transportation, resort entrance and use of specified resort facilities. We are accommodating only 15 registrants for April 2016’s IntroSurf. Interested participants as young as 4 years old can register for the IntroSurf via https://goo.gl/forms/ys9vfM5vsO.

Are you excited yet? Here is a rundown of the numerous summer programs your little ones can sign up for and enjoy only at The Mind Museum:

C.S.I. 101

This comprehensive module on the learning adventures of basic forensic science is perfect for your little inquisitor and curious kiddos and is comprised of excellent workshops most ideal for age groups 10-13 and 14-17 years old. The participants will be divided into teams that will gather and analyze evidence from crime scenes and present their cases to a panel of Investigators. “Staged” crime scenes make this supremely exciting! Winning teams and participants that perform extraordinarily well will be awarded badges at the end of the program.

A Forensic Art workshop is also available for older kids of the 18-25 age group which aims to introduce its participants to methods such as composite sketching and forensic photography, which are vital tools in solving cases.

Summer Activities For Children: Scientific Swimming Lessons

One of the best things for the kiddos to do this summer is to enroll in swimming class. It will be a perfect way to beat the heat, while learning how to swim, have fun and meet new friends. I have enrolled the little man to Modern Aquatic Swimming School’s Scientific Swimming Lesson the last 2 summers and I shall be enrolling him there again this year. He simply loves the water and even when he often enjoys playing in the middle of the pool instead of listening to his coaches, a swimming class is something I am sure he will most benefit from.

Here are the schedule for this year’s Modern Aquatic Swimming School’s Scientific Swimming Lesson:

Toddler {Survival and Learn-to-Swim Program} ~ this is ideal for ages 6 and below and offers introduction to water safety, breathe holding, floating, dog paddle/survival stroke
Novice/Basic ~ this program is for ages 7 years old and above and offers basic freestyle, basic backstroke and basic diving.
Advance ~ ideal for any age and offers stroke correction and introduction to Breaststroke and Butterfly to students who can already swim Freestyle and Backstroke.
Competitive ~ this program is also for any age and offers a unique and exciting opportunity to experience the world of swimming competition.
Private Lessons ~ also ideal for any age, this program offers a one-on-one swimming lessons and is scheduled all through out the year.

All swimming programs, except the Competitive Program, offers 10 Sessions at 1 hour a day. All swimming programs are at Php2,800 per person, except for the Private Lessons which are priced at Php4,200 per person.

The first batch will start on 24 March and classes are scheduled from 8am until 6pm. The swimming lessons are slated to last until Batch 5 on 20 May.
