one of my favorites in 2011 – the incubus concert

One of my favorite things in 2011 is the July 27 Incubus concert in Manila. It was one of the best events I’ve been in, a perfect me-time. It was a good thing my brother agreed to babysit the little man for me so I get to enjoy this concert sans the usual worries of mums whenever we go out on our own + leave the kiddos at home.

I have not posted about this event before + here is the post that’s been sitting on my hard drive since September:

 If Not Now, When? Incubus Live in Manila

It was either my birthday came exactly a month earlier or Christmas arrived 5 months in advanced! That is what I am feeling while we braved the rain + traversed the wet road en-route to the Smart -Araneta Center in Cubao on the rainy, Thursday afternoon of July 28. My most favorite band is coming to play live tonight + I was all psyched to rock out the entire evening. I was only too grateful that my bro, Ken, agreed to take the child-minding post whilst this mum had a great time.

This is just a very brief post to let you know there will be silence from this end for awhile…well, at least until Incubus‘ Big Dome concert is over…I shall be heading South-bound in a few hours to watch my favorite band again + I am just so, so excited! Good thing Ken agreed to look after my little man while I am away, thanks bro, I owe you one! 😀

I will be back with a detailed post on how I ended up with a front row ticket to this would-be sold out concert + with loads of concert stories accompanied with photos (I just hope I’ll be sensible enough to take some :))

I only wish I can tag Jared + Jared’s dad along but I will be with my two sissies who were lucky enough to win 2 tickets for later’s event.

It is 5 hours before the much-anticipated show of the year + this mum needs to get ready, so I’ll be seeing you in awhile.

come one, come all to an incubus tribute party

To celebrate the launch of our favorite band’s first studio album in 5 years (according to Brandon himself), + kick off their highly-anticipated July 28 Araneta Coliseum concert, Incubus Street Team Philippines cordially invites you to join An Incubus Party: If Not Now, When? on Thursday, 14 July 9PM at B Side – Makati.  This will be an evening of good, solid rocking fun + charity! With live performances by Dash Between Dates, LIME, Soil and Green, Letter Day Story, KJWAN and MALAY.
