crazy over purple saturdays 02: purple

For my entry to this week’s Crazy Over Purple Saturdays, here is a photo of me with my haltered bathing suit and purple tank top as cover up! I don’t really have enough courage to flaunt whatever it is I have out in the beach, so I settled for the next best thing.

This photo was taken during our summer outing to Coco Beach in Puerto Galera (see my compete post about it here ;))

saturday 9: rain

1. It’s Spring, grilling begins! If you plan a picnic, do you bow out if it rains?

I miss playing under the rain, when I was little we’d wait for the first summer rain + bathe in it with my Mama

2. Do you prefer food grilled on a charcoal or gas grill?

Nothing beats the flavor a charcoal-grilled barbeque has šŸ™‚

3. We’re at the first grilling picnic. What’s your meat order?

Porkchops! šŸ˜‰

4. What side dishes do you want?

I love corn + carrots!

5. Now, where do prefer to eat:Ā at the picnic table or inside?

If given the chance I’d really love to give the picnic table a try

6. You were asked to bring a dish. What do you bring?

Potato Salad!

7. Does it bother you to have citronella candles burning if you are eating or cooking outside?

I love the scent of citronella, just not too much of it!

8. What fellow bloggers do you want to meet at the picnic?

The PMC Mummies! šŸ˜‰

9. Does there need to be a pool at the picnic, your choice?

A picnic by the pool sounds divine, which reminds me, I should set up our inflatable pool again. One last swimming fun before Summer ends, I bet my son will love it! šŸ˜‰

someday i'd like to teach my son….

When SAHMone Speaks

As a mother, what do you think will be the best teachings you can pass on to your children?

I guess I have loads of stuffs I want to teach my son + a lot of invaluable teachings that I’d like to pass on to him, that hopefully he will teach his own children when his time comes. I’d like to teach him to be God-fearing, to always put his faith in the All, believing that it is through Him that everything is possible.

I’d like to teach him how to sing + read, I’d like to teach him to not take himself very seriously + to learn how to laugh at himself too. I’d like to teach him how to be a citizen of the world, not merely satisfied, snug + secure in his comfort zone, but to also think of other people out there who are in need + extend help in his own little ways.

I’d like to teach him how to do his share in taking care of this PlanetĀ  we’ve inherited. I’d like to teach him to follow his dreams + be guided by his passions. I’d like to teach my son how to run, how to swim, how to fly kites and write poetry, I’d like to teach him how to be street-smart (even if I am not ;)) +, more importantly,Ā  to live his life to the fullest! šŸ˜‰
