Teleserv, online resources for mumsEverything that will make our jobs a lot easier is good in our book. + if we can do this in the safety of our home without having to worry where or to whom we leave our kiddos when we do, all the better! That is why online shopping is such a hit. You get to shop + order anything you fancy, from children’s clothes + toys, to mum essentials, to food and other needs around the house. This is the same principle behind Teleserv. They wanted to make getting those certified pertinent documents easy-breezy for all of us!

I have had the misfortune of doing this the old-school way: the long + seemingly endless queues at the NSO + the DFA afterwards, when I was applying for a passport back in 2002 + believe me it is an ordeal I do not want to experience ever again. Thanks to Teleserv, applying for any Civil Registration documents has never been this easy, a few clicks of your mouse + you are good to go. All you have to do is wait for a maximum of 3 days + your documents will be delivered right at your doorstep. What a convenience, right? I actually requested for a certified copy of my son’s birth certificate for record purposes on Tuesday + the document was delivered to me on Friday 🙂

still waiting in endless queues to get your passport?

I just can’t relive the memory of the first time I went to DFA to apply for a passport back in 2002 without reliving the long endless queues, all the hassle + the trouble brought about by bureaucracy + whatnot! Really not a pleasant experience! Imagine after enduring a whole day’s worth of falling in line + waiting for my turn, I even had to return the next day just to get what I initially came for? Very inconvenient + disappointing, I tell you!

The worse thing is that I never get to use the passport anyway (I was planning to seek employment overseas, back then, but had a change of heart since my parents, especially our father, won’t let us) after all the trouble I had to go through to get it!  It settled dormant in a box with the rest of my stuff, untouched + unstamped, until it expired in 2007.

I never had the need to renew the thing since.

Now,  imagine how surprised I was when I found out that I no longer have to suffer the same fate if I were to renew my passport. In fact, much thanks to Teleserv’s innovative services, I can easily go online or dial from my phone for passport renewal via their DFA Passport Appointment System. There are two ways to do this:

a. Applying via internet

  • simply log-on to passport.com + follow instructions to get an appointment schedule
  • prepare all needed documents or requirements (check out the list here)
  • just go to the DFA Consular Affairs Office at the scheduled date + time (check CAO’s location here)

b. Applying through phone

  • Call the DFA Passport Appointment System by dialling (02)737-1000 to get an appointment schedule
  • prepare all needed documents or requirements (check out the list here)
  • just go to the DFA Consular Affairs Office at the scheduled date + time (check CAO’s location here)

Really fast + convenient + it saves you a considerable amount of time you can use for some other endeavors.

Apart from this service, Teleserv also provide NSO Birth Certificate Delivery, Overseas Exit Clearance, + Group Application Services for NSO Certificates. Not only are they fast + convenient, but they also provide secure + confidential online payment options.
