One of my fondest memories of childhood is spending those summer afternoons in the living room playing scrabble with my siblings and my parents. It is one of our favorite family bonding activities and we learned about new and difficult words together through that board game. There are also other popular board games at that time, including Snakes And Ladders and Chess, but Scrabble is easily our favorite game! One of these days I am going to get a new scrabble set so that I can pass on this fun tradition to my little man.

Nowadays, board games are taking the back seat because of the popularity of game consoles and hand held gadgets where you can easily and conveniently play more challenging, exciting, and interactive games. These games also have very catchy and colorful top-of-the-line animation that captivates the players even more. But thanks to modern day technology, they are also breathing new life to these games we have come to love by coming up with new, modern, interactive and hi-tech board games.

Just Roll It, created by Game Club, is one of these new and exciting board games the millennial generation can play. It is reminiscent of the Monopoly Game of old, but with new and awesome twists. Created by Game Club, this game is designed to be played by groups of 4, which could be family members, classmates, or friends. It is also bound to challenge one’s strategic abilities in order to win and get rewards, plus allow the players to win cash prizes, too, which I shall tell you all about later on!

Going to the groceries is one of my favorite things to do for me-time . It is my small vacation of some sorts and always consider each trip to the supermarket as a treat. It is also one of our favorite activities as a family. The place offers a lot of opportunities for the little one to learn so we make it a point to tag him along. He also considers the supermarket a very big play ground were he can scrutinize stuff he fancies and roam and run around as much as he can. It is also a great place to play hide ‘n seek as there are many nooks and crannies for him to hide away. I also take the opportunities to teach him about the different veggies and fruits that he has yet to try.

Since the local Robinsons Mall opened in Malolos, it has been one of our go-to place for grocery shopping because of its convenience. It is just a few minutes drive away from our place. I also love that their grocery is very clean and safe for my little energetic boy to play around. But what I love most about Robinsons Supermarket in Malolos is that they have almost everything I need to stash my kitchen and pantry supplies all in one place!

Our local Robinsons is one of our favorite places to visit so when I found out that another Robinsons Mall is opening in Bulacan, I know I had to check it out. Robinsons Townville opens in Meycauyan yesterday, 14 August and I am glad to have witnessed this important occasion.

We all have someone to thank for their love and unwavering support in our lives, the wind beneath our wings, if you may. These people could be our parents, our husbands, our mentors, our siblings or our friend, who made it possible for us to achieve our dreams and realize our goals and help us get to where we are now.

One of my Unsung Hero is my dear sister, Isabel. She is my confidante, my friend, my therapist. My coffee, postcrossing, and movie buddy all rolled into one. She is always ready to listen to my endless tales, even when she has heard that story so many times before, and yes, she never fails to give straightforward remarks or side comments. She may not have agreed with a number of decisions I made in my life, but I know that I can count on her no matter what.

I will always be grateful to my sister for the kind of love she showers my little man. She is more patient with him than I am at times. She has this way with children and she is Jared’s favorite playmate. My sister is always willing to look after my little man when I had to go somewhere, like run errands or attend blogging events. She does make life so much easier for me, allowing me the mobility, specially when I needed it. I know I can always count on her to love my son as his own.

But more importantly, my sister is a living reminder of my parents, their wonderful memories, and their unconditional love for us. I will always be grateful to have my sister as she reminds me so much of my parents, especially my Papa. She took after our father and inherited a number of his physical traits. And while my sister, and my siblings, are around, I know I will always feel my parents’ presence like a warm hug, like it is almost tangible. I will always feel like my Mama and Papa are still here with us through them.

I am excited to nominate her through the Husay At Malasakit app, I do hope she will like my surprise. I am sure she will love the cake since she is so fond of sweets! :-))
