Nice To Know You Wednesday has been on an unplanned hiatus for a while now, I planned to revive it just in time for February, but I guess I have been quite preoccupied with home chores + childminding that I was not able to find the time to post one. Oh well, am only too glad I was able to do so now + hopefully a lot of you will join us again for another round of NTKYW q + a! 🙂

3. Mums like us can be very busy + would almost always have a hard time finding time for ourselves, so what have you done for your “me-time” lately?

4. What is the last thing you bought for yourself just because?

5. Received any good news lately?

My answers:

  1. 2012 is treating me very kindly. Apart from the regular hectic day at home + the occasional mum-tantrum, February is turning out so well + I hope the rest of the year will be the same.
  2. The latest thing I received from the mail is the watch I ordered early last month from an online groupon site, which I will blog about soon 🙂
  3. For my me-time, I finished “Eat, Pray, Love,” the book I set out to finish last month. It seemed like an impossible task, but I managed to squeeze it into my day-to-day activity + finished it just in time. I will post a review about it, too! I am now in my book for February, “Safe Haven,” by Nicholas Sparks + I cannot wait to finish it! I am also lining up having a haircut + a manicure/pedicure session for my next me-time 🙂
  4. Last month I bought a few paperbacks, just because I love buying books + collecting them. I am also collecting Sophie Kinsella’s Shopaholic series + I am happy to note that I am only 2 books away to completing it! Well, okay, I also happen to win a $25 e-bay GC, which made those book purchase possible!
  5. The best news I received lately is courtesy of the recent pr updates by Google, + what do you know, this mum blog is now pr3! Woot!

NIce To Know Youw Wednesday, weekly meme

Hello everyone! It is Wednesday once again + it is time for another edition of NKTYW. Before anything else, I’d like to start off with a big thank you to all those who participated last week: sissies Mitch + Shengkay, Chie Wilks, Ice + Jade Ingua. I really had loads of fun reminiscing my preggie days through your entries. Thanks 🙂

Our questions for this week are inspired by this Papemelroti Memo Pad I received during the PMC Grand Eyeball last April.  This was given by honorary mommy member, sis Ria.

The questions:

1. Where do you find tranquility?

2. Where do you eat like a horse?

3. Where do you zonk out?

4. Where is your jungle?

5. Where does your joy come from?

My answers:

1. Back in the days I find tranquility in the written pages of my journal where I used to pour in every bit of my thoughts + worries, I also used to find tranquility whenever I am in my Yoga mat coming down from one post to another. Those were my own personal form of prayers + they never fail to comfort me + bring my mind at peace. I so missed those days (When I find the time I’d like to go back to Yoga + do it seriously this time + enroll in a class (I found one near my place a few months back!). Fast forward to now, I guess nothing will ever bring the most tranquility than looking into my little child’s innocent eyes. He is my little piece of heaven here on Earth, my little piece of bliss.

2. I almost eat like a horse all the time, but it is best to do it in the comfort of my own home. It is most comfortable that way + the least expensive, won’t you agree 😉

3. No other perfect place to zonk out apart from my own bed, beside my little man who is sleeping sound like an angel as I write this 🙂

4. My own room is my own little jungle, with nooks + crannies serving as uncharted territories as far as the little man is concern. It can be surprising + lurking with dangerous things at times with unusual suspects lying harmlessly on the floor, that I best keep guard to be sure that the little one is safe all the time.

5. I find joy in the simplest of things: random acts of kindness, a forwarded message or a simple hello from a dear friend I have not seen in a long while, or hearing an old-forgotten favorite song I’ve not heard in a while, + of late, laughter + wails + loads of random wet kisses from my little man 🙂

  1. I was also known as Jared’s mum online since I am Jared’s mum 🙂
  2. That I will be washing my son’s feeding bottles as soon as I get up in the morning

  5. Am generally sad + overly lazy when it rains, blame it on my mood depending too much on sunshine, but am just glad I have my very own little ray of sunshine, Ethan Jared to tide me over during the gloomy, rainy months 😉
