I cannot stress enough how important it is to keep our home safe for our little ones. The safety and security of our loved ones at home is among our top responsibilities as mums. It is also our responsibility to re-align these spaces to accommodate the needs, desires, and idiosyncrasies of the little dweller in the house. We don’t just need to keep our dwelling place spic ‘n span. More importantly, we need to make sure that our toddlers have enough space to roam around. We also need to ensure that these areas of the house are safe enough for little children to crawl into.
I have enumerated a few tips on how we can secure the house for our little children:
Secure those plugs
For some reasons sockets are just way too attractive for toddlers so make sure you install plug protectors to each socket visible and accessible to your kiddos to prevent them from trying to plug and unplug appliances without you noticing it.
Dials, knobs, and security
Apart from relocating breakable stuffs, like vases and mirrors, out of children’s reach, make sure that they will not gain access to knives and other pointy objects in the kitchen. Shiny objects found in the kitchen might be too much of an eye candy, so make sure you keep the stove’s dials and knobs away from those chubby little fingers, too. For additional security, it won’t hurt if you will keep Fire extinguishers from fire protection online at the ready in case anything untoward happens. To elevate your home security even a notch higher, installing Alarms for home might very well be the best option for you.
Buttons and more buttons
Remember that buttons are just a few of our children’s favorite things, so make sure that you keep the remotes away from their prying eyes and busy fingers , as well as ensure that you install proper security measures to the telly and computer buttons!
Monitor the bedroom
If your little ones are sleeping in their own bedroom, a baby monitor is very much recommended so you will know what is happening inside his room even when you are in the next bedroom.
Keep off the stairs
Adventurous toddlers are bound to explore around their surroundings and climb wherever their little legs can carry them, the stairs is at the top of their list, along with an assortment of items and objects they can mount, so make sure to discourage future mishaps by blocking their access to these areas and things.
It will be awhile before our little ones can listen to our instructions and actually heed them, in the meantime it is best to always be on our guard and take all the extra measures we can to keep them safe and sound around the house!

Toddlers are so curious! I really don’t mind all the mess they leave but I’m worried about their safety. Thanks for the tips!
With us naman, there was not much to protect because ours is a one-room thing with four corners. So it was easy to contain Dindin.
We dont need baby monitors just yet and we cant afford to buy one now, but i know how important it is. I dontknow what it is with the remote controls my baby fall from the bed reaching for that, we are sleeping on the floor nalang para hindi na sya mhulog hehe
With little tots exploring the house, it is important to child-proof our homes for our own peace of mind too.
Securing our children’s safety is the biggest responsibility of parents. I always think several ways of doing that at home.. Kids this days are so adventurous
toddlers get curious with anything and everything so what I do then is to make sure that I always have my eyes on my son. Even if we already made our house as safe as possible for our toddler, minsan may nakakalusot pa rin 🙂
With three kids at home, my daughter and my nieces, we also have those plastic plugs to block the electric sockets….
It really takes a lot of effort to take care of our children but nothing can be worth more.
I am one paranoid mom so I always make sure that the kids are safe from anything inside the house that would cause them harm

as for the socket, I am thankful that it never catches the interest of my kids..
