My Very First Facial At Flawless

In my 33 years I never have once tried going for a facial. I’ve heard of one too many horror stories of facial sessions gone bad with people ending up with  a lot of marks and spots on their faces after a few days and these were enough to keep me away from facial services. Not to mention, it was hardly something I can afford at the time I needed it the most {teen years} and something I do not have the time for when I wanted one since I became a mum to an energetic little boy.

It all changed when Flawless approached me to be one of the firsts to try their newest and most advanced facial yet ~ the Cell Booster Infusion Mask for free in exchange for my honest review. I was originally asked to drop by their SM Megamall branch, but I am more than delighted when they agreed that I go to their SM Marilao branch, instead, which is the most convenient for me.

I guess there is always a first time for everything and I was even probably way too excited that I forgot to stash my camera on my bag that day!  :-((

the welcoming facade of every Flawless store

Anne, my attendant for the day is also a mum who knew the troubles my skin had to go through when I got pregnant and the neglect it suffered when I got busy taking care of my little man 24/7. My facial begun by wiping my face fresh and giving me a very relaxing facial and hand massage. Afterwards, the resident Flawless dermatologist, Dra. San Diego, came over to check on my skin. The dermatologist’s main concern were my warts and advised me to have them cauterized as soon as I can as there is a high probability that I can pass this on to my son. Otherwise, she simply told me to use their AHA soap to improve the texture of my facial skin, use a toner to minimize my pores and to continue using moisturizer and sunblock daily. I also took the chance to ask her about this red spot on my chin that I’ve had for ages now. She said that this is most likely to be an allergic reaction and told me to steer clear of chicken, eggs and similar food items. She also said I can take antihistamine in case the patch appears again. She even advised that I change my current brand of toothpaste as a safety measure.

Now on to my facial. After putting a patch on both my eyes, Anne is now steaming my face to open up the pores and she proceeded to removing the nasty blackheads and whiteheads. She warned me that it might be a bit uncomfortable and might even hurt a bit at some point, but surprisingly, I dosed off during the procedure. So enough about discomfort! After which, my face was wipe clean again for the next procedure. The name of this one escapes me now, but I remember her putting a soft cloth over my face and brushing it softly with a metallic wand-like instrument that is attached to this electronic contraption beside me.

The last part of my facial is putting the cellular repair hydrogel mask on my face, which is actually cold to the touch. This mask stayed on my face for a couple of minutes. I also got a neck and back massage to complete the very-relaxing and enjoyable experience. With a slather of sun block, I was up and ready to go!

The Cell Booster Infusion Mask in a nutshell

Just hot off the successful launch of the first affordable stem cell-based product line in the country, Flawless marks yet another milestone as they introduce their most advanced facial treatment yet, Cell Booster Infusion Mask.

According to Rubby Sy, Flawless CEO, Cell Booster Infusion Mask is designed to perform two main functions which are:

  1. to combat the effects of and protect the skin from the destructive free radicals that we encounter daily
  2. to rejuvenate and improve the skin’s cell architecture by nourishing it and encouraging the tissue regeneration process.

Using an advanced cellular repair hydrogel mask that contains highly-concentrated essence of cell-activating nutrients, Cell Booster Infusion Mask delivers essential nutrients to the skin at cellular level, promising to increase the skin’s elasticity, minimize pores and the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles while giving the skin an undeniable glow, all at the same time. The technology for hydrogel coagulates nutritious substances into a gel form and delivers active ingredients into the skin by reacting to the skin’s temperature rather than the air, leaving the skin feeling cool, fresh and invigorated.

This innovation has once again manifest Flawless’ commitment to consistently bring medically-sound solutions closer to Filipinos without the Class-A prices.

Mum’s two cents

There is really nothing to dread about this particular facial session as I honestly thoroughly enjoyed the experience! It leaves my face feeling revitalized and so soft and smooth. What I love about it is the absence of reddish marks or spots after the treatment which allowed me to stroll in the mall with the little man and my sister later on.

I also love that Anne who did my facial that day was very attentive and pleasant. She made it a point to describe everything she was doing at any given point to educate and guide me. And what’s even better is that I got a text message from her a few days after my treatment asking me how my face was and how do I find the soap which I bought from them that day. If you’d ask me, that is customer service and after-sales service par excellence. By the way, they also asked me to accomplish this online survey form. They are giving away Flawless GC’s worth Php1,000 each month to lucky customers.

The relaxing ambiance and the soothing music that permeates the facial room is also a plus on my book.

I never knew facial could be very relaxing and I am looking forward to my next session. At Php1,400 per session, a Flawless Cell Booster Infusion Mask treatment is one perfect treat for busy mums like me who need a well-deserved pampering.      for this service!

I am now trying the AHA Soap which the Flawless’ in-house dermatologist suggested and I love the soft feel it leaves on my skin!

Thank you’s go out to Jose, as well as to Anne and Weng of Flawless~SM Marilao branch for accommodating me!
