Don’t you just find it tiring and frustrating to continuously think of what dishes to cook and serve your family from breakfast, lunch and dinner? It was really one part of being a stay-at-home mum that I like less, simply because of my very limited cooking ability. There are only too few dishes I can cook, and I have a picky eater to boot, which only makes matters worse! It is a good thing that Bounty Fresh recently came out with a new product line that will allow mums to serve gourmet ulam to their families the quickest and easiest way.

Bounty Fresh sent me a package a couple of weeks back containing several packs of their latest product, Top Torikatsu, which was launched last 12 September at Privé Luxury Club in Bonifacio Global City, naming the Boys Night Out radio show hosts, Tony Toni, Sam YG and Slick Rick, along with internet/TV celebrity Ellen Adarna, as its brand ambassadors.

Top Torikatsu is perfect for those who lead a very busy life and do not have the time to cook, neither the cooking skills of a chef, but are looking for delicious meals that are reasonably priced to serve for themselves or for their families. I think it is also ideal for mums like me who always ran out of new dishes to cook at home. It comes in two variants: Classic and Cheese and Chives. Each 450-gram pack {which contains about 5 to 6 pieces of chicken breasts coated with bread crumbs} sells at leading groceries and supermarkets for Php179.

I particularly like the Cheese and Chives variety and my siblings agree that it tastes quite good. It has the authentic chicken flavor in every bite you’d think that it was prepared at home instead of coming out from the frozen meat section of your favorite grocers. Plus, chicken always gets my approval as it is healthier than most of the other meat variety. The only downside is that I had a hard time cooking these chicken goodies, the coating tends to separate easily from the chicken meat that I had to be very careful whenever I have to turn the pieces over. And since my frying prowess is not really that top notch, the coating stuck to the my non-stick pan on most occasions. In the end, I had to fry the meat a few minutes longer just so those part where the coating came off will also turn golden {even darker, really} brown! Nevertheless, I’d recommend that you try it the next time you go to the grocers, am sure your family will love it, too!
