It Is Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas At Home

mum's thoughts, Christmas, Jared, Jared's nook, home

It sure is beginning to look a lot like Christmas here at home now that I finally managed to set up our Christmas tree. I originally planned to set it up earlier last month but with the light of the recent disaster in Visayas, I find it difficult to get into all the Christmas vibe knowing that someplace else people are suffering from a tragedy and thought is was rather inappropriate.

But, there is no way we can stop Christmas, right? And there is no way Filipinos would stop celebrating it no matter what, so I was glad I finally mustered enough energy to get the tree out of its box along with all the trimmings I managed to collect the past years.

I am also very delighted that my little helper was very much game to help me set up our tree. He was so enthusiastic, in fact, that we were able to get everything done in a few minutes. He cannot wait to have the lights up so we can turn it on. He also enthusiastically put the little star at the top of our tree. 🙂

Next up are the little gifts to put under our tree. I have yet to shop for those, though, so hopefully I find the time in the next few days.

I hope Christmas’ coming along beautifully in your homes and that you have found the time to set up the tree, too! 🙂

Christmas Is In The Air!

Christmas Village ~ Trinoma

Indeed it is! It is exactly 21 days before Christmas and I can really feel the Holiday breeze in the air. The nights are not only getting colder but you can now hear children roaming around the neighborhood singing Christmas carols, as well as see dazzling lights everywhere.

But I guess the best place to be around during this season will have to be the malls. I know too many people and the flurry of activities put me off, too, especially when I have to run after my 4-year old. But apart from the good deals and the mall-wide sales here and there, there are also loads of beautifully made-up trees to get you feeling all the more Christmas-y! And lots of photo opportunities, too!

Christmas Village ~ Trinoma

We were out yesterday for a moviedate and cannot resist taking some snaps of the beautiful decorations!  My next goal is to hunt for Santa so the little man can have a photo op with him. We’ve done it a few times when he was very little and I think it will be quite an experience for the little man.

If you have information on where we can go to have our photos taken with Santa, please leave me a note in a comment below! 🙂
