reading, Where-to-Weekend, events, announcement, lifestyle
Reading is one of my passions and if there are opportunities to harness it and share it with others then I am all for it. One of our mum blogger groups on Facebook recently looked for mums who would like to be part of Cokid.org’s READING REVOLUTION: Hacking Restless Readers in Today’s World and I signed up immediately and I was very delighted to find out that I got the spot! ^_^

Reading Revolution in a nutshell

This is a seminar-workshop for teachers and parents that aims to revisit the value of books, reignite the love for reading, and to teach them how to do this both at home and in school. The event will be held on 17 May, 2014 between 9am-5pm at Alphaland in Makati City.

The whole day seminar includes illustrated talks about reading and storytelling by amazing speakers, as well fun workshops sharing effective tools and tricks that can easily be recreated.

It will be most ideal for educators and mums like me who aspire to raise book lovers!

Cokid.org for a cause

Cokid.org is also a partner of Kinder Project, an initiative to provide teaching materials and teacher training to 200 public school classrooms in Payatas, Quezon City. Taking part in this event will not only provide you with the tools to become a more effective teacher and parent, but you are also taking part of a movement to aid our country’s public schools and teachers in need of training and tools.
