It is not every day that this mum gets a day’s off but I am delighted that I did it yesterday to attend the Downy Mother’s Day Celebration in line with the launch of their latest Downy Parfum Collection Scent, which is aptly called, Timeless.
The intimate gathering was held in The Conservatory, at the Manila Peninsula Hotel. It was hosted by gorgeous mum Stephanie Zubiri-Crespi. As soon as I arrived, I was whisked off to have my photo taken at the photo booth with this intricately-designed white flower wall as the backdrop. After a brief introduction of the latest offering from Downy Parfum Collection by P & G Communications Manager, Deirdre de Padua, the mums and the grandmums in the audience were serenaded with timeless love songs by singer Guji Lorenzana. While listening to lovely ballads, the mums where also treated with a video presentation showing surprise messages from loved ones.
Shortly after, the scrumptious meal was served for the mums to feast on. We were served a full course of Insalata caprese, hearty vegetable soup, chicken breast stuffed with spinach and ricotta, as well as a decadent French silk pie and a cup of coffee for a perfect gustatory experience.
It sure was a wonderful afternoon spent honoring and celebrating mothers and I am glad to be part of it. And the bit I enjoyed the most is catching up with mum blog friends I have not seen in awhile. Some mums also tagged along their mums to the wondrous occasions and it sure was a superb experience to see mums of different generations share one occasion. I know that if my Mama was around, I would’ve tagged her along and she would’ve had a grand time.
The playful citrus-y scent of Downy Timeless is a perfect fit for Mother’s Day as nothing epitomizes the word timeless as a mother’s love. In the same manner, each one of us also has fond childhood memories of our mums associated with scent, may that be the scent of our favorite childhood dish which our mums lovingly prepared, or the scent of our freshly laundered clothes our mums meticulously washed for us, or that familiar lovely scent that reminds us of mum’s love and of home.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the mums and I urge you to create wonderful and lasting memories this Mother’s Day with the most special woman in your lives while you still can. As for me, I’d surely tag the little one along for an afternoon of fun someplace nearby and visit my Mama’s graves with my siblings afterwards. :heart: :rose:
