I have always been a coffee drinker and I normally have at least a cup or two each day. The most I drank in a day is 3 cups, that’s when I needed the boost one day I had to pull an all-nighter to finish a pending task. I also get an extra cup when I am down with a bad headache. Yes, I love my steaming mug of coffee in my favorite “Domestic Diva” mug, but I am also aware of its ill effects, especially when taken in excessive amounts. That is why, I have also been meaning to find a healthier alternative.
I have tried ditching coffee for tea for awhile. Instead of grabbing my favorite caffeine-laden drink brand, I grabbed for a box of tea. I enjoyed it for awhile, but I just found tea quite a bore to drink compared to the exciting and flavorful coffee. After a few months, I got tired of drinking tea and went back to sipping my coffee to the last dregs.
That is until I stumbled upon this FitTea review talking about the many benefits of this organic tea brand and how it tastes better than the rest of its tea contemporary. It is the same reason I immediately signed up to receive samples for review.
FitTea in a nutshell
The FitTea 14 Day Detox package contains 15 individual tea bags of delicious blend of all-natural ingredients, including:
- Organic Green Tea ~ is known to improve heart and mental health, as well as aid digestion and weight loss
- Oolong Wu Yi ~ is used to prevent illnesses like heart disease, osteoporosis, and cancer. It is also known to sharpen mental alertness and prevent tooth decay
- Organic Rooibos ~ can cure nagging headaches, as well as asthma and insomnia
- Ginger ~ is most commonly known for its anti-inflammatory properties, as well as its ability to prevent various stomach illnesses like stomach upset and diarrhea
- Pomegranate ~ has antioxidants that lower blood pressure and prevent heart attack and stroke
- Guarana ~ is used its weight loss and energy-boosting properties

- Stevia ~ 100 natural healthy sweetener
- Corn ~ has the phytochemicals lutein and zeaxanthin that promotes healthy vision, as well as dietary fibers
- Honey Powder ~ a low-calorie and all-organic sweetener, and need we say more about honey?
These natural ingredients combined results to a faster and all-natural detox. And as the product tagline promised, “give us a few weeks and we’ll give you a new waistline.” I am sure that if I take this 14-day detox to heart, I can soon bid goodbye to the extra pounds and unwanted bulges.
The instructions at the back suggests to drink it every morning or before a workout. Now as much as I would like to have some before working out, I have yet to carve a work out schedule for myself {it has been ages since I was in my yoga mat, stretching and trying to keep fit!}, so I take the tea each morning to replace my regular morning coffee.
As most teas, preparing FitTea is easy-peasy. Simply put a teabag into a cup of near boiling water and let the tea bag steep for about 3 to 5 minutes. For a stronger flavor, you can probably steep for a few more minutes. It can also be enjoyed hot or cold and with additional honey or lemon. I have yet to run to the grocers to stock up on lemons, so I am adding a small amount of honey or 2 spoonfuls of brown sugar into my cup each morning.
The FitTea package, if taken at an average of a tea bag per day, can last up to 15 days. But if you were like me who tends to reuse your teabag the next morning, it can last up to an entire month.

Mum’s two cents
FitTea is unlike any tea I’ve had before. I thought it tasted peculiar at first, but I learned to enjoy it as I take a cup each day. The tea is a cacophony of different flavors with a hint of sweet and citrus-y tastes. It might set your taste buds off at first, especially for those who are not too accustomed to tea flavor, but you will most definitely enjoy the taste as it becomes more familiar.
I have experienced a couple of great FitTea results after taking FitTea for a few days now. For one, I noticed that I feel full after downing a cup. Instead of eating breakfast in the morning, I only drink a cup or two of FitTea and noticed that these cups can last me up to 11am or until it is time to eat snack or lunch. For someone with a very big appetite, this is such great news as I can lessen the amount of food I consume in a day!
I also noticed that whenever I take FitTea in the morning I have more energy instead of being my usual sleepy and lazy self. Instead of dosing off after dropping the little one to school, I have enough energy to finish my pending tasks and a number of chores before I leave to fetch the little one a little before lunch time!
Apart from an all-natural detox and the extra energy, FitTea is also known to boost the immune system and the body’s metabolism, aid in digestive health, as well as boost natural fat-loss in problem areas. In addition, it also has natural antioxidants, antimacrobial properties, as well as factors that help suppress the appetite. And did I tell you that unlike some other detox tea, FitTea does not have that effect that will force you to visit the loo for several times a day? So, I guess it is safe to conclude that it is okay to drink it even when you have to go out.
I give FitTea     and I am confident that if paired with a healthier diet and regular exercise, I have found a perfect partner in keeping a healthy and balanced lifestyle.

I’m such a tea fan more than caffeine-laden drinks. Although I don’t believe in using tea as laxatives. Will try this sometime bec. based on your review, it’s great.
I’m not a fan of hot drinks – coffees and teas. Cold ones I can take but I try to shy away from hot ones. Looks like a detox is in order soon though, so maybe I should give this a try.
Me too! I’m not into hot drinks as well.
This one sounds like a good tea to try though should I ever get in the habit.
i guess drinking tea takes getting used to, but i am sure you will enjoy it!
i am more of a coffee person myself(black) but this look interesting enough to try.
hopefully you can get to try it soon
oooh i’m interested in the extra energy as I’m feeling very sluggish lately.
i know the feeling, and the weather is not helping, right?
I just got into appreciating tea lately… Anyways, I’m very curious and want to try this out cause of what you had said that you had more energy to do stuff with just a cuppa. Anu yan, Popeye’s Spinach na ba ng mga moms? 🙂 hehehe..
so true! I was surprised myself, kasi prior to the week I started taking this, I would dose off after sending my son to school and was tooo lazy. But when I started taking this, I am up and about even when the weather is gloomy. 🙂
Oh perfect timing because I was just thinking about how I really need to lose weight. I’ll read more about FitTea; love that is not a laxative!
that is one of the things that got me interested to take this tea in the first place! 🙂
I like hot drinks specially teas. I’m also thinking of getting a detox drink, very timely ito. I will try fit tea soon. 🙂
I hope you enjoy this, too! 🙂
“Give us a few weeks and we’ll give you a new waistline”, nice tagline, haha. I prefer cold drinks but I’ll check this out when I feel like detoxing.
very enticing diba? hehe 🙂
I’m still trying to get myself to like tea. I think I’m the only person who doesn’t like the taste! I like the idea of detoxifying!
i am newly-converted. i guess the taste of tea takes some getting used too, especially if one is too fond of drinking coffee!
This sounds interesting, I want to try it 🙂
i hope you get to try it soon 🙂
Need to transition from coffee to tea soonest. Making a mental note.
I’m more of a coffee person, like an entire day without coffee gives me a really bad headache. so how’s your adjustment naman when you switched from coffee to tea?
i also have those headaches, too. sometimes, i simply cannot resist but have a cup of coffee then drink the tea later on in the day.
I haven’t tried any “detox” tea yet but I’m hoping to try this soon. 🙂
Oohh, I wanna try this 🙂 I like drinking tea but never really considered it for detox. Will check this out 🙂
i hope you can try it very soon 🙂
