To say that the little man enjoyed his previous visits to KidZania Manila is such an under-statement, so you can imagine how excited he was when he found out that we were going back there yet again for the launch of the all-new National Art and Design Academy.
The misters and misses of KidZania Manila can now see the world they run in a whole new colorful light as they favorite play place unveils yet another attraction ~ the National Art and Design Academy. Now children who want to dabble in art and creative pursuits can do so at the newest attraction put up in partnership with National Bookstore and Dong-A. The children can also channel their inner master artists as they join painting and drawing classes or opt to lend a hand in painting a stained-glass window or a wall mural.
National Art and Design Academy in a nutshell
The National Art and Design Academy offers a fun-filled painting and drawing activities that allow kids to craft memorable pieces. They can earn 8 kidZos by painting a stained-glass window or a wall mural and coloring KidZania-inspired images to their heart’s delight. Kids can also pay 15 kidZos to join drawing and painting classes, they can even bring home their finished artwork right after. A maximum of 15 minutes is provided for the little ones to finish their colorful masterpieces.
The fun and learning continue as children experiment and explore with watercolor, using Dong-A supplies, making their canvass their very own personal playground.
The Launch

As people gathered to witness the unveiling of the all-new National Art and Design Academy, artists were also invited to grace the momentous and creative occasion. Among those in attendance are art prodigy Hamzah Marbella, visual artist Tokwa Penaflorida, and graphic artist Dan Matutina.
A live activity demo of what the kids can experience inside the academy also took place and some of the mum bloggers’ kiddos were lucky to have participated along with the guests artists.
Art is a creative way to teach the little ones to express themselves and their individuality. It is also a great tool for them to explore, discover, and learn and what better way to do it than to bring them to the National Art and Design Academy at KidZania Manila. The play city opens at 9am-4pm {on Mondays to Thursdays}, and at 9am-2pm and 3-8pm {on Fridays to Sundays}. You can book your tickets at manila.kidzania.com.

Wow, this looks like so much fun for kids and adults!! I would have enjoyed painting the stained glass!
Should be a very fun experience, from the looks of it! 😀
ZanKs for joining us for the launch of the National Art and Design Academy! We’re very happy to hear of your fun experiences at our play city. Hope to Z-U again soon!
You are most welcome! Zanks for having us. My little one cannot wait to go back! ^_^
Kids today are so fortunate. They have so many outlets to express their talents!
So true!
This could really bring out the artist and the creativity in kids. It would also be fun as they get to do it with friends and kids of their age.
That’s true!
Oh, I’d want to do this, too! I haven’t even visited Kidzania Manila, yet. How I wish I’m a kid once again and enjoy all the activities there.
My thoughts exactly when I first visited this place! 😀
This is such a wonderful opportunity for kids to explore the world of art while having fun. It’s nice to know that the people behind this lovely place is offering that chance to kids. Art is one of the best ways a child can express himself while also developing their creativity and their imagination.
Indeed!
This is so cool… having art and design academy within KidZania! My girl will spend most of her time at this section of the attraction because she loves to draw and paint!
I hope you’ll get to bring her there soon! 😀
I am glad my kids are not pestering me to go to this expensive place. Good to know your kid enjoys it there. I am very conscious of the expensive entrance fee though.
It sure is expensive, but I assure that it is well worth every penny. Your kids will absolutely love the place!
Wow this place sounds great to engage children. So much to see and learn.
So true! 3 visits are never enough to cover everything. My little one is asking when he’s going back! 😀
This is a great initiative by KidZania. It recently got launched in Singapore also. Hope to see more such fun activities for kids.
Sure is, kids will absolutely enjoy this activity!
Art and impacting knowledge in kids work hand-in-hand together. It’s always part of the life’s advancement to humanity till date. It’s really a good thing the kids are exposed to such opportunities in visiting National theaters, et al.
I cannot agree with you more.
Wow! Children can bring out such great art and new perspective!
that is so true, that it is best to nurture them even while at a young age. it is good that kids these days have places like KidZania to visit to nurture their creativity and imagination!
Kidzania just keeps getting better! I hope I can visit soon, I’m just looking for a young cousin or nephew or niece who can go with me. haha
Sure is! You better look for a youngster soon, as they will never let you in if you go on you own! 😀
I love that the people showed up for the gathering. It sounds great!
Sure is!
What a beautiful article! I am a struggling artist and I wish I had these kinds of things when I was younger. I did have a few art classes that my aunt enrolled me in but it wasn’t as fun as what I have saw and read in this article.
“Kidzania” keep it up! 🙂
Thank you. Yes, play place these days are way too awesome and the kids are just lucky! 🙂
Kidzania is also out in Singapore. While I’ve been to the one in Kuala Lumpur, I have friends whose kids do not dare to go Kidzania as they have to be away from their parents!
It is one of the concepts of the place, to teach the little ones about independence and how to be as grown ups are. I guess it is not advisable for most children to be on their own, especially the much younger ones.
This is such an amazing idea. Looks so much fun for adults too. The world needs more of this!
I sure hope they can let the grown ups play even for just a day! 😀
Many kids love to paint – or decorate or… – they like to create. It looks like it was a nice gathering – and the youngsters had a really great time!
They sure had a blast! Art sure is a great tool to teach children, especially the smaller ones.
I like kidzania, they have it here also. I wish I can me a kid and go play there.
I had the exact same thoughts the first time I visited! I sure hope they have these around when we were younger! 😀
