KidZania Manila Unveils The National Arts + Design Academy

To say that the little man enjoyed his previous visits to KidZania Manila is such an under-statement, so you can imagine how excited he was when he found out that we were going back there yet again for the launch of the all-new National Art and Design Academy.

The misters and misses of KidZania Manila can now see the world they run in a whole new colorful light as they favorite play place unveils yet another attraction ~ the National Art and Design Academy. Now children who want to dabble in art and creative pursuits can do so at the newest attraction put up in partnership with National Bookstore and Dong-A. The children can also channel their inner master artists as they join painting and drawing classes or opt to lend a hand in painting a stained-glass window or a wall mural.

National Art and Design Academy in a nutshell

The National Art and Design Academy offers a fun-filled painting and drawing activities that allow kids to craft memorable pieces. They can earn 8 kidZos by painting a stained-glass window or a wall mural and coloring KidZania-inspired images to their heart’s delight. Kids can also pay 15 kidZos to join drawing and painting classes, they can even bring home their finished artwork right after. A maximum of 15 minutes is provided for the little ones to finish their colorful masterpieces.

The fun and learning continue as children experiment and explore with watercolor, using Dong-A supplies, making their canvass their very own personal playground.

As people gathered to witness the unveiling of the all-new National Art and Design Academy, artists were also invited to grace the momentous and creative occasion. Among those in attendance are art prodigy Hamzah Marbella, visual artist Tokwa Penaflorida, and graphic artist Dan Matutina.

A live activity demo of what the kids can experience inside the academy also took place and some of the mum bloggers’ kiddos were lucky to have participated along with the guests artists.

Art is a creative way to teach the little ones to express themselves and their individuality. It is also a great tool for them to explore, discover, and learn and what better way to do it than to bring them to the National Art and Design Academy at KidZania Manila. The play city opens at 9am-4pm {on Mondays to Thursdays}, and at 9am-2pm and 3-8pm {on Fridays to Sundays}. You can book your tickets at manila.kidzania.com.

  5. This is so cool… having art and design academy within KidZania! My girl will spend most of her time at this section of the attraction because she loves to draw and paint!

  6. I am glad my kids are not pestering me to go to this expensive place. Good to know your kid enjoys it there. I am very conscious of the expensive entrance fee though.

  8. Art and impacting knowledge in kids work hand-in-hand together. It’s always part of the life’s advancement to humanity till date. It’s really a good thing the kids are exposed to such opportunities in visiting National theaters, et al.

    1. that is so true, that it is best to nurture them even while at a young age. it is good that kids these days have places like KidZania to visit to nurture their creativity and imagination!

  9. What a beautiful article! I am a struggling artist and I wish I had these kinds of things when I was younger. I did have a few art classes that my aunt enrolled me in but it wasn’t as fun as what I have saw and read in this article.

  10. Kidzania is also out in Singapore. While I’ve been to the one in Kuala Lumpur, I have friends whose kids do not dare to go Kidzania as they have to be away from their parents!

    1. It is one of the concepts of the place, to teach the little ones about independence and how to be as grown ups are. I guess it is not advisable for most children to be on their own, especially the much younger ones.

  11. Many kids love to paint – or decorate or… – they like to create. It looks like it was a nice gathering – and the youngsters had a really great time!
