Earlier last month I was invited to attend the Lysol Maxi Mom event with 100% Whole Mom held at La Creperie in Makati City. I absolutely enjoy attending Lysol events {you may check out my previous Lysol On-The-Go and Lysol Disinfectant Spray for Baby’s Room posts} so I readily said yes to join this one.

100% Whole Mom’s Cheska, Rica, and Marilen with our friends from Lysol

I’ve read about 100% Whole Mom before but I’ve never participated in any of their previous events. 100% Whole Mom is a brainchild of Marilen Faustino, Cheska Garcia-Kramer, and Rica Peralejo-Bonifacio, which aims to {1} inspire mums in making a happy home, {2} build mums’ confidence as they are reminded to embrace their own beauty, and to {3} coach mums the different ways they we can nurture the heart. Basically, Marilen handles the home, Cheska takes care of the beauty, and Rica takes charge of the heart. They also used to have a TV show, Mommy Manual, which aired on GMA News TV Channel 11 every Monday at 8.30am. I enjoyed watching that show and I sure hope they will return for their next season very soon.

  • Use Trays To Organize Your Living Room ~ Trays are great for organizing little objects like TV remote controls, small decor, and other living room essentials. You can also use beautiful trays to tell a visual story.
  • Use Baskets ~ Invest in decorative baskets for your living room to hide messy things like toys. You can also use it to organize items and keep essentials like living room blankets.
  • Clean and Organize Immediately ~ Teach family members to be tidy, to clean as you go, and to put things away as soon as you are done using them.

How To Acquire The Habit Of Cleanliness by Cheska Garcia-Kramer

Cleanliness is an acquired habit and as mums it is up to us to cultivate this inside the home and in our children and family. Cheska, a self-confessed OC mum when it comes to cleanliness around her home, shared these 3 steps on how we can form a habit of cleanliness:

  1. Set a Reminder ~ Especially for forgetful mums like me, placing reminder on your desk, in the fridge, or any prominent area in the house will be very effective in reminding you of tasks and chores that you might otherwise forget or overlook. Putting reminders around the home also comes handy for those who have house help.
  2. Start with Something Easy to Start ~ just thinking about the difficult tasks to be done around the home can put you off that is why it is best to start with the easiest ones and moving on to the harder chores later on. It is also helpful to remind everyone to clean up after themselves, so cleaning will be much easier later on.
  3. Reward Yourself or Family Member/s ~ Keeping the house spic ‘n span is no easy feat that is why it is also important to reward yourself or the members of your family once you get some work done. It will also encourage the little ones to help cleaning at home more often.

How To Keep A Clean Heart By Mrs. Bo

“Keep your heart with all vigilance, for from it flow the springs of life.”

I agree with fellow mum blogger, Rica Peralejo-Bonifacio, that apart from keeping our homes clean, it is also a must that we keep our hearts clean. We ought to be mindful of the following in order to do that:

  • What we put in our hearts ~ What we put in our hearts we manifest into words and actions that it is a must that we fill our hearts with love, faith, joy, and similar emotions and thoughts.
  • What we release from our hearts ~ We should also be mindful of what release from our hearts. Instead of releasing restlessness, doubt, or despair, we ought to strive and spread encouragement, confessions, forgiveness, and apology.
  • What we keep in our hearts ~ Instead of filling our hearts with worries, self-doubt, or loneliness, we must fill it with fond memories of our children and loved ones, hope, and love.
