Big Hero 6 Printables For The Little Man

educational activities for children, tot schooling, fun printables for children

We have recently watched the Big Hero 6 film and the little one is really smitten by Hiro and Baymax, so I went on to look for Big Hero 6 printables online for him to color at home. I chanced upon these coloring pages atĀ and printed them so the little man will have something else to occupy him with on a weekend, other than his gadget and the telly.

I guess my plan worked as Jared enjoyed coloring these pages. He easily gets familiarized with the characters when we saw the film and just awhile ago was asking if it is still showing in the cinema and inquiring when can we get a copy on the computer! šŸ˜€

Have you found more Big Hero 6 printables online? Do share as I plan to print more for the little guy, I rather he gets busy pushing pens and crayons that pushing buttons on his tablet.Ā

The Little One’s Second Quarter Grades Are In

tot schooling, Jared, jared's nook, parenting 101, pre-school

That’s right! This mum can breathe freely again as the little man’s 2nd Quarter exam resultsĀ just came in. I am glad that he did well in his exams and got good grades. I was just a bit wary that he was too fond of being ahead of the class to submit exams and exercise that he would sometimes get confused and end up writing wrong answers. I did talked to him about this and told him that the exams are not a race and that it is more important that he get every question right, instead of finishing ahead of his classmates. Hopefully, he’d remember this the next time he had an exercise or exam to finish in class.

Meanwhile, I am also relieved to seeĀ Jared’s report card and his 2nd Quarter grades. I am very happy to note that he did get very good marks! It is good to know that he is doing well in class and is learning in school, as what his teachers told me. More importantly, I am sure that the little one is enjoying his time in class, which in turn will make it much easier for him to learn about his lessons.

Looks like our reviewing did the trick, so did our daily habit of finishing his homework. For this next quarter, we shall be doing a lot more of reading at home, as well as practice writing worksheets. He’s Ā started reading 3-letter words and I cannot wait for him to harness this skill and start reading his books on his own! Writing is something he really struggles with, so we shall also be focusing on his writing skills.

How’s your little ones’ 2nd Quarter grades mums and what areas will you be working on this quarter? šŸ™‚

Fun + Educational Apps For Kids From Kids Academy

online resources for mums, tot schooling, educational activities for children, educational apps for children, apps

The little man is currently on school break for a week and I would really love for him to do more activities aside from playing his games and watching youtube videos on his tablet. Am being more lenient and allowing him more hours on his tablet than his usual 2-hours-a-day-on-a-weekend when school is up. Good thing I found a number of apps online that would not only keep the little one entertained for hours on end but will also teach him about letters, numbers, children songs and a whole lot more. Good thing I stumbled upon Kids Academy earlier this year and have downloaded 3 of their apps.

What I love about the Kids Academy App?

  • I love the eye-candy design that appeals to most tots
  • Their apps are ideal for children ages 5 years and below
  • They have loads of fun activities and games forĀ the little ones to enjoy
  • They are for free!
  • They also have about 100 of interactive worksheets the children can finish to pass the time while learning and enjoying
  • With the aid of these apps, mums can easily introduce the concept of numbers, letters, colors, and a whole lot more to pre-schoolers or first-time schoolers
  • Mums can also easily introduce the rudiments of reading and learning about phonics with these apps
  • Now mums have another safe environment on the tablet for the children to spend their time
