Awesome Halloween Costumes For Kids

One of the most fun season of the year is upon us again!

Halloween is that one single time of the year when everyone wants to be ugly, or dirty, or scary. Of course, it is also that time of the year when mums are the busiest scurrying to find the most interesting costumes for their kiddos. This year, we initially decided on a DIY Optimus Prime costume that transforms as the little man has just seen the last film and he was talking Transformers all day long. Am sure he will have a grand time channeling his inner Autobot in this year’s Halloween party. We decided against it, though, as we do not have enough time to pull the homemade costume {read: my creative brother did not have the time to finish it just in time! :)} off.

I decided against the store-brought costumes, too, as I actually plan on scrimping this year instead of opting for those costumes that will actually cost me a fortune. Good thing I was able to chance upon this shop {you may check out details about them at the bottom of this post} that sells costumes near the city market. They also make costumes if the costumes you like are not available in the store. I had a black robe done for only Php350 for a Harry Potter costume fit for the little guy. I was able to get this customized robe after 2 days.

Trick Or Treat In Malolos City

If you happen to live in our quiet city, there are a number of Halloween parties you can tag your little one for Trick or Treat activities. I was out and about with my little man last week and we found these 2 events which you might want to check out:

Halloween Family Fun Day at McDonald’s

Halloween, events, announcement, spending quality time with your children, Malolos City

Halloween Fun Day is happening at McDonald’s ~ South Supermarket Branch on 27 October, 2013 between 3-5PM. Registration is at Php150 for each child {which comes with a Happy Meal and a free toy}. Arts and crafts activities, apart from exciting prizes are available for little guests to enjoy!

Jollibee’s Halloween Fun!

Halloween, events, announcement, spending quality time with your children, Malolos City

Halloween Fun celebration in Jollibee will be held in Crossing and Bayan on 29 October, 2013 at 1-3PM and 4-6PM, so mum and kiddos can easily opt for the one nearest to their location. Tickets are sold at Php200, which include a meal for both kid and companion.

We have tried the Halloween celebration in Jollibee when the little man is only 2, but we did not really enjoy it as it was held in a very huge venue with loads of kids and parents in attendance. Jared was not able to see the mascots singing and dancing from our seats at the back. This time around, though, the Jollibee Halloween Fun event will be held in the local Jollibee branches {in Malolos Town Proper and in Malolos ~ Crossing}, which will be more conducive for little children to enjoy the party to the fullest. They can even give the play area {only in Crossing branch} a go after the party.

We will be  joining the Trick or Treat party at the little man’s playschool, as well as the annual Halloween party in my sister’s office, so I guess we will pass on these events this year.  🙂

Where are you going for Trick or Treat this Halloween?

We’re Donning Batman Again This Year!

Halloween, mum's thoughts, Jared, Jared's nook

That is right! My little man is going to be the Caped Crusader for two years in a row! I have just taken out his Batman costume from last year’s Halloween out of his closet to get it ready for this year’s Trick or Treat action, and am so relieved to see that it still fits!  There are a couple of Trick or Treat events happening in our city and we have yet to decide where to attend. In addition, we will also be having a Halloween party at his playschool and his tita‘s office, so the little man and his Batman costume will be very busy in the coming weeks.

I opted to give his old costume another spin as it is more economical to recycle it, instead of buying him a new one. I would’ve wanted to put together another costume so he won’t have to wear the same thing to two different events, but sadly, I am not really that creative and to make something brilliant, I should have planned it ages ago!

Oh well, the little man is simply excited to be donning his caped costume again, so I think I made a good decision. He cannot wait to wear it, in fact, that the minute he saw it out of his closet, he just have to put it on while watching his favorite cartoon on the telly! 😀

So, who will you be come Halloween?
