a saturday morning with dyan castillejo + easy pha-max wheatgrass

Last month I was able to spend one Saturday morning with good company, meaningful conversations + a healthy treat! It was indeed a great day spent with Ms. Dyan Castillejo + her son, Matthew, along with a number of fellow mum bloggers + their accompanying kiddos. Of course, I have tagged along my little man, as well! 🙂

We spent the great Saturday morning listening to Dyan as she talked about her cool parenting style, her active lifestyle + her healthy choices. She also enthused that she requires Matthew to be a healthy eater, too, only allowing him to have soda once a month! For someone who confided she does not have any ideas about how to be a mother + care for a baby, she is really doing very well with raising an active, charming little man + I bet most of the mums present would love to imitate her. Not to mention have the healthy, sexy body that makes her look much younger than her actual age, too! 😉

Apart from leading a very active + healthy lifestyle, Dyan also shared with us one of her healthy secrets ~ Easy Pha-max Wheatgrass. She said this product helps her a lot in maintaining a healthy lifestyle, especially when she is on the road, as she gets to travel a lot with her line of work, following Manny Pacquiao in his trainings + matches, as well as covering other sporting events. She’d have packets of Easy Pha-max Wheatgrass stashed in her bag or her car which she easily prepares for a nourishing snack or meal while on the road. She has also influenced her little man to drink this healthy product + Matthew said he liked it!

I couldn’t be half-active as Dyan is even if I wanted to, + there is now way I can be as fabulous as she is when I am her age, okay I will really try harder, but I sure can take a leaf from her page + try her healthy choice so I can have a healthier, fitter body. Maybe I can do away with the sweets + the caffeine + take wheatgrass instead? Oh well, at least I followed her advice to me that day ~ that I raise my son to be active + enroll him in swimming class! 😉

havin’ a blast with baby blast 03

We had a wonderful Sunday afternoon last April 22, when we went to Baby Blast 3 at the Trinoma Activity Center. We came in a bit late at 1pm, + the place is bustling with all the activities by the time we made it past the registration booth. My little man immediately fell in love with one of the pre-school’s booth + made a beeline for their play mat. + guess who he found playing there? Jakie, one of my mummy blogger friend Olga’s tots, is busy playing with Lightning McQueen, Mater + the gang when Jared joined in. His older sister, Jade, on the other hand, is busy cutting colored papers + doing a coloring worksheet at a table nearby. We spent a considerably long time in that booth as Jared did not want to budge from the mat + from the stack of Cars characters he was too fond of. A lot of toddler + pre-schools participated in the event, + if I live anywhere near the city, I would’ve signed up for one of them. Equally interesting talks, book reading, contest, intermission numbers + other fun activities are presented in the stage.

At last, I convinced him to get up + look around so we were able to explore the rest of the place. By this time, I have also bought a few back issues of Baby Magazine + a water bottle from the Ainon Baby booth, which I purchased to include in my Mother’s Day Giveaway {which should be posted real soon ;)}. We’ve also been to the Parentin.TV’s booth + the little man found another interesting toy to play with. He was occupied with this big maze puzzle for quite some time which left me with no choice but to hang just a few inches away so I can keep an eye on him while I check out the stalls nearby. We’ve managed to make it to the side of the stage by this time + I just witnessed an enthralling performance by the Velasco Brothers.
