I have always considered homeschooling my little man and I am not closing my doors in exploring this option in the near future. This is the reason why I support the Homeschool Association of the Philippine Islands {HAPI}’s Philippine Homeschool Conference 2017.
Here’s what you need to know about the Philippines Homeschool Conference 2017
The Philippines Homeschool Conference, the most anticipated gathering of homeschoolers in the Philippines, is an annual gathering full of information and inspiration for people who want to learn more about homeschooling, are just starting out, or want to improve their homeschooling experience. The conference ~ specifically by way of its Expo ~ is also a venue where homeschoolers {and even non-homeschoolers!} can look at and purchase materials, plus get to know more about services and programs that may aid them in their homeschooling.
The Philippines Homeschool Conference is a great venue for homeschooling mums to learn the ins and outs of homeschooling, challenges, and how to deal with them, as well as discover the technical aspects of homeschooling. It is also the perfect venue for first-time homeschoolers to learn more about the subject and decide how to apply this on their own journey.
The expo also a great opportunity for homeschooling mums to converge and swap homeschooling stories, as well as shop for homeschool materials, books, books, and more!
The PHC 2017: Homeschool to the Future
This year, HAPI, with Educating for Life as the Conference organizer, is setting up the PHC to be an event that will inspire and equip parents to “homeschool to the future.”
The world we live in has changed drastically over the past few years, everything is fast-paced and almost instant. these days. With the advent of the Internet Age, information is literally available with a press of a button. With these changes, the educational sphere has also changed a lot. Educators are beginning to realize that beyond rote memorization and spewing out of data, students today must learn what to do with the information that they have.
The more valuable skills to be learned are critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving – skills that homeschoolers can embrace and promote in their homes. Children are taught to learn how to learn – and love how to learn – as they make use of the technology and resources available to them.
This is the inspiration behind the theme of this year’s Philippine Homeschool Conference: “Homeschool to the Future: Educating for the World of Tomorrow.” As in previous years, the conference aims to encourage and equip homeschooling families in their journey through practical breakout sessions, the expo filled with educational materials, and by providing a venue where homeschoolers can meet and gather as a community.
The PHC 2017 will be held from 7 a.m. {start of registration} to 6PM on 07 October, 2017 at Treston International College in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig
