Tips + Tricks: 5 Life Lessons Your Child Will Learn in International School

Attending school is almost always a child’s first opportunity to engage at length with the world and with other people outside their immediate household. Additionally, children and young people spend most of their time at school throughout their formative years. Thus, it’s frequently the site of key experiences and interactions that will go on to shape these children’s values, skills, and personalities as they grow up.

The important role education plays in a child’s life and growth means that choosing a school for their children is sure to be a daunting experience for any parent. This process is likely to be especially intimidating to expatriate parents, who may find their options in their host country limited to international schools by virtue of language barriers or legal restrictions. Luckily, the best international schools offer their students rich learning experiences, combining enjoyable and diverse activities with consistent academic rigor.

If you and your family have plans of relocating to Singapore, consider a school with a progressive, globally focused American curriculum Singapore expatriate families trust. Such an institution is guaranteed to teach its students a wealth of significant lessons that will serve them well throughout their lives. Among these most important life lessons students can learn from international education are the following:

Respect for Cultural Diversity

A multicultural learning experience is one of the biggest and most obvious benefits of sending your child to an international school. They’ll have the opportunity to socialize, study, and work with teachers and peers from a vast variety of cultural backgrounds. Such an environment discourages the development of harmful discriminatory and prejudicial attitudes. Instead, your child will rapidly learn how to navigate cultural differences with respect and compassion and how to engage people from all walks of life.

An international school will also give your child copious opportunities to remain connected with their home country’s culture while simultaneously immersing themselves in their host country’s traditions and ways of life. This will ideally lead them to develop a strong and well-rounded sense of identity that has been fundamentally shaped by life in multiple places.

Make Your Little One’s Birthday More Special With #KiddiePartyToTheMax

Our little one’s birthday is a special milestone every parent wants to celebrate. Apart from making it something fun and enjoyable for our guests, we would also like to make it very memorable for the celebrant to remember with fondness for years to come. A good memento to add to their young memory bank!

I am sure most mums will agree that organizing a party is no easy feat, especially for a working mum who has other things to attend to apart from making sure that her little one’s birthday celebration will be one for the books and something the guests will remember with delight and a smile on their faces.

Max’s has been a part of the Filipino celebrations and special occasions for years now. I remember celebrating my 30th birthday in their Malolos branch {eons ago} with Jared’s dad and my sister, just a couple of days before I popped and welcomed my not-so-little bundle of joy into the world. The Filipino dishes they serve will always warm the hearts of each diner not to mention their appetites and their tummies! 🙂

Now, Max’s is making our little one’s birthday celebration even more special with their #KiddiePartyToTheMax. We were privileged to be one of the invited mum bloggers to get first dibs on their new party packages and party the day away in time for Chickie Boy’s birthday celebration!

KidZania Celebrates Father’s Day With LBC Express In “Daddy, Get Set Go!”

Kidzania Manila is one of my little man’s favorite place to visit. He enjoyed each of our visit and always looks forward to go back {you can read our previous Kidzania Manila visits here}. We were supposed to go there on Father’s Day, but, unfortunately, we cannot make it. We are both crossing our fingers that we can go back very soon.

Receiving an LBC padala always brings joy to every recipient as it never fails to put a smile on a recipient’s face or make the day better. To spread some Father’s Day cheer in their own way, LBC joined KidZania this past weekend in celebrating the man of the house with special activities for kids and their dads.

At the Courier Service establishment in KidZania, designed as a mini-LBC Express branch, kids and their dads worked together in receiving and boxing parcels and shipping them out around the city.

LBC, the Philippines’ market leader in retail and corporate courier and cargo, money remittance, and logistics services, also set up a special booth in the city where kids got to write greeting postcards for their dads. Kids only needed to pay using their kidZos – the official KidZania currency. After writing, they could hand their custom postcards personally to their dads who accompanied them to KidZania.

As a special Father’s Day treat, kids could also surprise their dads by sending their greeting postcards for FREE, with LBC shipping them within Metro Manila right to their doorstep.

With these special Father’s Day activities, LBC hopes to send the message to everyone that they are always ready to send love and happiness by connecting lives – whatever the reason or the occasion.
