of regular online jobs + bingo games

earn online, world wide web, internet, life online

The world wide web can really be quite a mine, not only of up-to-date information, or free + exciting online bingo games, or homeschooling resources {think free printables + other downloadable learning materials for your tots}, but it can also be a perfect place to find possible work opportunities, too. I know you’ve heard of a lot of people who keep regular jobs without even dressing up for work or leaving the comforts of their own living room. In this day + age, I thought that was actually a very convenient way to work. Imagine all the hassle you can eventually do without if you are working in the confines of your home. Plus, you can even continue to go about your day-to-day activities while you do so! It is actually a win-win situation!

Oh well, am just saying since my personal quest to search for a regular job online has finally come to an end. No, I haven’t thrown in the towel as I know those who continually seek will eventually find what they were looking for! + true enough, after months of wishing + searching I’ve just landed me a regular online job. This mum just got lucky to find the right one the other day.  I guess I was also lucky that I have almost 5 years of call center experience under my belt, so I got the job!

Work starts Monday + what I really love about it is that I will get to work in the wee hours of the morning {Manila time} while my little man is fast asleep, that way I can still be a full-time mum during daytime + will just have to squeeze in a few hours of sleep right in between 😉

In the meantime, I have a bunch of training materials to tackle + I have the entire weekend to study + learn the tricks of the trade before I officially start work Monday night. Wish me luck! 😉

book review: thank you, god, for blessing me by max lucado

books for children, books, book review

I received this very interesting book for review, not too long ago ~ Thank You, God, for blessing me, which was penned by no less than the best-selling author, Max Lucado.

The book in a nutshell:

This book is part of the Read2Me Little Hermie Series + talks about the endearing  character, Little Hermie. Little Hermie, the cutest baby caterpillar in the garden, has a thankful heart that shows toddlers how to be thankful for God’s blessings.

Little Hermie goes through his day thanking God for the many blessings in this 10-page adorable board book, complete with colorful illustrations.

Over 5.5 Million brands units were sold of the Little Hermie Series + these books endeared the wonderful world of Hermie + his friends garden to an even wider audience.

Here’s a summary from the back of the book:

Little Hermie is thankful for the many things in his garden home, including plenty of food for him + his family to eat, beautiful flowers + good friends. Seeing these blessings around us isn’t always easy, but Little Hermie shows pre-school aged children to remember to say “thank you, God” in a way that is irresistible for parents + kids!

Thank You, God, for blessing Me, along with the other books on the series, is available at Thomas Nelson Publishing at $6.99.

Mum’s two-cents:

I particularly loved this book + would recommend it for every mum with toddlers to grab a copy for their little ones.  It teaches little children to be thankful + grateful for the many blessings, no matter how small or big they may be, that we received from God on a daily basis. With a simple yet beautiful story + a very beautiful illustration, too, I bet all your little ones will love Little Hermie, too!

I give this book 5 dog ears {the highest rating this mum gives to a book! 😉

is your home ready for the rainy season?

home, tips + tricks

I have mentioned in one of my previous post some tips + tricks on how to make you + your family all geared up for the rainy months ahead. In the same manner, you have to get your homes ready for the storm + the typhoons, too, after all, it was our sole source of protection + refuge from the bad weather that it pays to have it checked out so you can have the necessary repairs done before the typhoons came barging in one after the other.

If you are aiming for a house remodel or a renovation, it is best to have this work done as early as possible, ideally during the long, dry summer months, along with other major works + repairs that you have in mind, which can either include any or all of the following:

  • roof renovations ~ roofs work the hardest during rainy season, so make sure you get all the leaks fixed in time. a new coat of paint to make your roof last longer is also advisable, as it not only makes your roof stronger, it also protects against rusting
  • painting jobs
  • fence fixing
Some minor repairs, like fixing the doors, or minor floor tiles maintenance or retouching old painting jobs indoors can be scheduled much later since they can still be done even during the stormy season, plus they are also easier + faster to finish. To faster accomplish these tasks, make sure to keep a detailed list of every single work, as well as a complete schedule of work that needs to be done. It wouldn’t hurt if you can employ the most reliable people to do the work for you, too! 😉  I just wish I had enough money to spare so I can have my parents’ house renovated soon…
