Mum Inspires: Starting Our Day The Right Way

mum inspires, mum's thoughts, quotable quotes

There is nothing like waking up with the right attitude to make your day. Here is something I stumbled upon on Facebook while I was busy browsing the other day. According to this here are the first thing successful people do in the morning.

  • Tackle the hardest problem on your plate. ~ Mark Twain
  • Visualize how you will make your day. ~ Tony Robbins
  • I do it {work out} just to clear my head and relieve me of my stress. ~ Barack Obama
  • Don’t check your email and do real work. ~ David Karp
  • If today were the last day of my life, would I want do do what I am about to do today? ~ Steve Jobs

Although it was rather difficult to heed point number 4 since most of my work and earning opportunities come through my email, it really is quite liberating to not open your email when you wake up in the morning. That way you can focus on more important things like your children and family or your morning meditation and morning routine for example. As for me, I try to do this once every week by giving myself a no-internet day every Sunday. It is a welcome break and I get to do more things like playing with my little man, cleaning up our clutter at home or noticing the birds chirping on the window very early in the morning.

In the same manner, we can never really go wrong if we follow Steve Jobs’ advice, examining our schedule for the day on a daily basis and allowing ourselves to focus only on what is essential and most important to us, will definitely make our lives better and less stressful.

I hope you are having an equally lovely Thursday. We shall be cooped up at home as I will be starting with yet another work-from-home opportunity while the little man enjoys another relaxing day. :)

The Minty + Fruity Goodness Of Swish Mangosteen Mint

products, oral hygiene

Keeping our chompers clean after every meal is a must for a good oral hygiene. But it does not end there. We also need to keep our mouth fresh, and get rid of all the bacteria and germs that thrive in it, all the time so we are always confident and ready to face whatever the day brings us. That is why it is also important that we include mouthwash into our daily oral care routine.

Unfortunately, not most of us look forward and enjoy the otherwise stinging after-feel of most of the mouthwash available in the market today. That is why it is a good thing that we can now opt for Swish Mouthwash to help us feel clean and fresh all day sans the sting!

Swish Mouthwash comes in a number of exciting variants, one of which is Mangosteen Mint. This Swish variant boasts of a lovely union of minty and fruity flavor with its sparkling blend of mint and Mangoosteen. Its unique mint taste gives mouth a refreshingly cool mint flavor. So every mouthwash experience is not as dreadful compared to when you are using other mouthwash brands.

What most mums will like about Swish is that it has an alcohol-free formula that helps kill bad breath causing bacteria and prevents plaque build-up, as well as gum disease and tooth decay without the stinging after-taste, making it ideal to use even for bigger kids. Swish Mangoosteen Mint is the sure way to long lasting fresh breath as it is powered by SureFresh Technology that does not just cover up bad breath but effectively kills bad bacteria and helps prevent plaque and gingivitis for long-lasting fresh breath. For optimum result, gargle 20ml of Swish Mouthwash twice a day for 30 seconds. A very easy step to add to your oral hygiene routine, won’t you agree?

Swish Mouthwash is also economical as it comes in various affordable packaging for personal use ~ 35ml {Php35.00}, 60ml {46.75}, as well as in bigger and family pack ~ 120ml {Php75.00} and 250ml {Php137.50}. Now ensuring your family’s oral hygiene need not burn a whole in your pocket!

Mum Finds: Rise of The Guardian Books + More

books, book haul, Booksale, simple pleasures, jared's nook, children's books

We had a chance to go to the nearest Book Sale branch just a few weeks ago and look what I got for the little man! Rise of the Guardians is one of his faves that is why he was so thrilled to see these books. And since books are my weakness, too, I simply cannot say no. These sure are great finds and very affordable, too. One of the book even have cards which we are planning to turn into bookmarks, as well as lovely stickers of the lovely characters from the film.

Before we left, we also saw these flashcards and since the Jared is now fascinated with numbers and counting, I just had to get him one, too. The flashcards sell for less than Php40 but unfortunately when I opened it at home it wasn’t the 1-100 flashcards I expected it to be. Nevertheless, it is still a good buy.

What do you think of my Booksale haul? What sort of books did you get for your little ones lately? :)
