pink friday:pink perfume

It won’t be long now until I run out of pink photos + stuff to share, one of the downside of not having a little baby girl :), but am sure there are loads of pink items to find in Mr. Google. But lucky that before I rummage into the delves of Google’s ginormous files, I have one more pink stuff for this week, the very loud + pink Loud Tommy Hilfiger perfume I won from Nuffnang not long ago. I like the sweet scent of it, for something who claims to be loud, it is pretty subtle + sweet on my nose. I haven’t got the chance to use it yet, though. Maybe one of these days…

More pinkies here + keep them Pink Fridays comin’ as every entry earns you a point for a chance to get a fab pink item.

a new green tea convert

To begin my baby steps into living healthy again I will start drinking green tea. I’ve never been a tea drinker (the Brits love it + so did my mum) I prefer coffee or milk or chocolate drinks when I was younger, but now that I am older more health conscious, I’d like to start the habit of drinking tea instead of its tastier contemporaries.

Green tea instantly soothes the mind, gives an escape from the hectic hassles of everyday life + rejuvenates the body (says so on the packaging). Also, it can be prepared in two ways:

  • Aromatic Hot cup of green tea – place a tea bag in a cup, pour in freshly boiled water, let it steep for 2-3 minutes before removing the tea bag + add some sugar if desired
  • Refreshing Cool glass of Iced green tea – place 2 tea bags in a cup, pour in freshly boiled water + let it steep for 2-3 minutes before removing the tea bags. Mix in 3 tablespoons of sugar + slowly pour onto a tall glass filled with ice.

I have not tried drinking it iced cold since I normally drink it in the wee hours of the morning while I do my early morning online tasks. Maybe I can try that version one of these days.

My (late) entry to this week’s Green Monday Meme, don’t forget to check out the other green entries here.

pink friday: kappo – the pink stuff toy

For this week’s Pink Friday (sorry for the late entry – this mum was not able to wake up in the wee hours of the morning as the little man decided to stay up until almost midnight last night) here is my sister’s (I don’t own much stuff toy, much less pink ones) pink stuff toy, Kappo (says so in her chest). This is a present for sissie from one of her friends who recently went home from Dubai. My son instantly fell in love with Kappo + plays with her a lot. But, of late + with his recent fascination with balls + the game of soccer (he tends to think every thing is fit for a soccerball – empty distilled water gallons, pillows + blankies!), he makes Kappo a one fine, pink socer ball, much to her dislike!
