Christmas Gift Ideas for Children: Tickets to The Disney On Ice Princesses and Heroes show

Christmas, Christmas gift ideas, tips + tricks, simple pleasures

I guess one of the perfect Christmas gifts we can give our children, apart from books and toys, of course, is a ticket to one show you believe they will really enjoy! It will be an experience-of-a-lifetime and something am sure the little ones will rave about for the days and weeks to come.

I was lucky enough to have earn enough this year through online tasks and opportunities that I was able to score these patron tickets to this year’s Disney on Ice Princesses and Heroes. I bought the tickets for the December 26th show as the ones for Christmas Day are sold out when we went out to buy the tickets in October.Ā If tickets are still available, don’t you think it is a great idea to get some for you and the little ones?

I am sure my little man will be thrilled to see all his favorite Disney characters dancing on ice and I am really excited for the day to come. I will make sure to bring our jacket, as well as the little man’s bonnet, as am sure Araneta will be a much colder place with ice all over. šŸ˜‰

What gifts are you giving your little ones this Christmas?

A Better Understanding of the Plastic Bag

products, household products

The plastic bag is a thing many people love to hate but they can’t seem to part ways with it mostly because it is so convenient. It is made of thin and flexible plastic textile and is primarily used to help people carry or transport items of all kinds. While there are many different designs available on the market the majority are heat sealed although others may be bonded by way of stitching or adhesives.

Traditional plastic bags are normally made of polyethylene which is derived from petroleum and natural gas and is made by blown film extrusion. In an effort to eliminate or at least reduce waste that is estimated to be over 1 trillion worldwide on an annual basis biodegradable bags were introduced in recent years. These bio-plastics are vegetable-based meaning that they decompose over time unless they are placed in a sealed landfill but they are not recyclable.

Love it or hate it the plastic bag has found many uses among consumers around the world and has been doing so since the 1960s. For one thing its nature produces less waste when compared to other bulkier packaging like glass or plastic bottles or cartons. So it is a great option for packaging liquids, powders, snacks, frozen foods, top soil and other gardening supplies, blood platelets, garbage and much more. It also comes in numerous designs and with features to be more suited to the purpose like with the zipper-lock bags which are mostly used in the kitchen. The “bag-in-box” design is meant to hold liquids within a box such as with boxed wine is another example of its diverse uses. You can check out the wide variety of Ā plasticĀ bagsĀ to choose from to suit your various needs at Ā https://www.epolybags.co.uk/.

The plastic bag is literally everywhere in our lives simplifying them in so many ways. It can eliminate extra work like with boil-in-bags to seal frozen foods and easily heat them without much effort. It also reduces weight in transporting items rather than using other containers meaning that less energy is wasted which is better for the environment. In an effort to reduce pollution many countries have prohibited the sale of single-use bags forcing the use of the modern biodegradable ones instead.

Loving those Christmas decorations at the Mall

Christmas, Chistmas decor, weekend

Christmas is really in the air, especially when you go to the mall and see all those beautiful and colorful decorations. We visited SM North, and then moved on to Trinoma, last weekend with my siblings and the little man, to watch the film Rise of the Guardians and Samurai X {I did not get to see this one as this isn’t a film for Jared to watch :(}. After the film, we looked around to window-shop and check out the sites. We also made a stop at Cuts 4 Tots so Jared can have his much-needed haircut {I will share that in a separate post}.

We were in for a treat when we found Ā out that Lea Salonga is performing at the Activity Center the very same day and even when we were not able to see most of it, I am glad I was able to catch her perform. She was my favorite when I was a little girl šŸ˜‰

Anyway, back to the Christmas decor, I am sooo loving them I cannot help but snapped a few photos. I know my shots did not do them justice, but just look at those white angels and wreaths, aren’t they lovely? šŸ™‚

Which mall Christmas decor is your favorite?
