shopping with my online earnings

postcards, products, shopping, weekends

I was able to withdraw some funds from my Paypal account a few weeks back. Let me tell you that I don’t get to do it quite often since I have not fully monetized my blogs + most of my earnings come from GW tasks that I received from bloggers friends. Hopefully, one day I will stumble into a regular source of online income {so that I can continue to stay at home + care for my little man}.

Anyway, I was excited to spend some online moolahs + here’s a few of what I got for me + Jared, the last time we went to the mall. It has been awhile since my first + only pair of Havs retired + I am sort of missing the feel of it on my toes {Ipanema sure feels a lot different}, so when my sister + I saw that All FlipFlops is having a sale, we took the chance + grabbed a pair each. We got them at 40% off, which is a great deal if you ask me!

I also bought Jared this Lightning McQueen ottoman. He is such a fan of the famous car, plus I know he will adore anything that has a picture of a car on it. He’s even sampled it + won’t just let McQueen go. Good thing the item is on sale at 50% off, so I did not think twice + got it for my little man šŸ™‚

postcards, products, shopping, weekends

+ of course, a visit to the mall will not be complete without visiting my favorite shop of all, the bookstore. For my new-found passion {read all about that in my travel blog}, I bought a stack of postcards, too, to send to my Postcrossing friends.

I also bought Jared a pair of black shorts from the department store. I hope I’d earn more so I can get the little man some toys + presents for the Holidays. It really is quite fulfilling to be able to buy your children stuff from your own earnings, right? šŸ™‚

Happy Weekend everyone!

pf: pink birthday postcards

I’ve mentioned on several occasionsĀ about my new found passion of collecting postcards. Ā I’ve joined this postcrossing site where you can swap with other postcard enthusiasts from anywhere in the world. I’m also a member of our little group in Facebook {which was put up by our very own Mommy Ruby + Mommy Willa}, the Postcrossing Enthusiasts group, where I get to keep in touch with people of like minds. We have members from other parts of the globe, too, like the Netherlands + Morocco.

As part of our swapping schemes, we are to send every birthday celebrant a birthday postcard {of course, it is not mandatory, but a lot of members have been sending birthday postcards since we’ve put our birthdays there!}. I’ve only sent a couple of these + plan to send one to each of the celebrants this September, just so I can put on a smile on their faces on their big days šŸ™‚

Some members have sent me birthday postcards the past weeks + they totally put a big smile on my face when I received them. I am most touched by the sweet gesture + when I got these lovely pink Hello Kitty postcards from Mommy Clang, I just bawled over! They are the cutest, + bless her for being very thoughtful, she even sent me two of them!

Look how pretty my birthday postcards are:

They even came with these equally cute stamps:

Now, I’m wanting to go to Japan just so I can hoard on these kawaii cards šŸ˜›

postcard perfect: cape cod, massachusetts

Ā My Postcard Perfect share for this week is this lovely island of Cape Cod (which is locally known as The Cape), which is the easternmost portion of the state of Massachusetts.

According to Wikipedia:

Cape Cod was formed as theĀ terminal moraineĀ of a glacier, resulting in aĀ peninsulaĀ in theĀ Atlantic Ocean. In 1914, theĀ Cape Cod CanalĀ was cut through the baseĀ of the peninsula, forming what may be loosely described as an island. TheĀ Cape Cod CommissionĀ refers to the resultant landmass as an island.

Cape Cod is also often mentioned in Nicholas Spark’s novels.

This beautiful postcard is sent to me by Stephanie through a personal swap. By the way, if you want to swap with me, please leave your details + preference through my contact form. I’d be delighted to swap with you. šŸ™‚Ā
