i won: flip flops + a pink vs

giveaway winnings, products

On 03 January, I got a message on Facebook telling me that I won in the Carefree Panda Holiday Giveaway! {click on the badge below to check the giveaway post} I got P1,500 worth of shopping codes to spend on Carefree Shopper online shop. I was so excited to spend my prize so I hurriedly went to the site to check out their items. They carry numerous  make-ups + perfumes, mostly imported brands, but what really caught my attention are the flip flops + the undergarments ^_^

I have always loved underwear + back in the days, I used to spend a great portion of my salary for undergarments. So when I saw this pink Victoria Secret bikini, I just knew that I had to get it. I also got these lovely items, as well:

  • 2 pairs of Old Navy Metallic Silver Flip flops {at P375 each} for me + my sister
  • A black polka dot Victoria Secret bikini
I just had to mention that Armie from Carefree Shopper is easily one of the nicest online shop owners I’ve talked to. Although I had to wait for a few days for a reply on my queries, she shipped my items immediately after we finalized the transaction + I got the package the next day, a fast + seamless transaction 🙂 My heartfelt thanks goes out to Ina, of course, for this post-Christmas loot. It was a great experience shopping without spending my own money, I could get used to this.  ^_^

gt: where’d my money go?

2011 will soon be history + along with it the chance to save up a little to fill up the piggy bank and/or my son’s kiddie account. I must admit, I am an impulsive spender + tend to get overexcited whenever I see a great deal in one of those online groupon sites I subscribed to. So, in retrospect, I want to put my spending into perspective + check out where all the money went this year + hopefully make a solid action plan that I can follow next year so that I might be able to finally save  up.

A big chunk of the money goes to the little man’s needs: milk, diapers, clothing + shoes {it’s just impossible how he grows way too fast!}, + his shots {a very good investment, if you’d ask me!}. Another part of it goes to the utilities {water, broadband + electric bills} and, as of Sept 22, to the house rent. We’ve also spent a considerable amount of money buying a few home essentials like my new sofa, the new fridge + the dining table set. Not a bad loot really!

christmas gift ideas for children #3: a day at activefun

image from metrodeal.com

There is nothing the children would want more this Christmas {aside from loads of toys, I guess} than a whole day of playing + having fun! Playing builds their character as well as develop their motor + coordination skills. Apart from that, for bigger kids, mums can catch up on her me-time {by probably watching a movie, going to the bookstore to buy stocks for her crafts or postcard collecting hobby, or have a mani-pedi, too!} whilst her little ones play. So, it’s like hitting two birds with one stone really.
