One of the things that I am looking forward to this month is the Mommy Bloggers Philippines Winter Wonderland Christmas Party. Why you’d ask? Well, first off, as a work-at-home-mum, I do not really have an official Christmas Party to look forward to at work each year. Second, I was really looking forward to seeing old mum blogger friends as well as meeting new-found mum blogger friends whom I only get to converse with online through our Facebook group. So I bet you can imagine how excited I was about this event!

Our intimate {yes, because among the many members of our group, only 30 were slated to attend this exclusive event} white-and-blue-themed party was held at the Spaces, located at the second level of Babyland in Mandaluyong City. I was running a bit late that day so a lot of mums have arrived and some were already enjoying the photo booth provided by Yeah, Shoot! Later on I was able to have my photos taken along with some of my MBP friends.

I have got to give it to the organizers, mums Lanie, Louisa, and Joy, the place is simply beautiful and the Christmas tunes playing is just enough to give anyone who listens a good mood. After registration, I looked around for a place to sit, lucky me, my kumare, mum Jem, already saved me a spot beside her on one of the lovely tables.

The party commenced with a short introduction from our head mum, Lanie, as she welcomed everyone in our Winter Wonderland Party. It was followed by a short speech from mum Louisa, who is in-charge of the MBP events. Afterwards, every mum was asked to form a group of 15 and did this very interesting activity. We were each handed a set of questions which we are to ask the other mums in our group. It sure was a perfect activity to break the ice, as we are not familiar which each and everyone in the party, and a great way to introduce ourselves to one another. It was a loud and chaotic activity, but something that we all enjoyed the most.

After our question-and-answer game, everyone was hungry and was raring to sample the many delicious dishes prepared for us by our sponsor caterers, Posh Caterer, Shekinah Dishes, and Kubiertos Catering. I enjoyed the meal so much I wished I had more space in my tummy for every item in the buffet tables. But I am glad I just saved enough space for the sweet treats whipped up for us by Love Desserts and I sure loved their desserts, especially the decadent cream puffs, which are my absolute faves!

After all our tummies were filled, we moved on the more interesting part of the party, and may I say, the most awaited, too ~ the raffle draw! Everyone was hoping to win one of our 2 major prizes, a 32-inch LED TV and an Acer tablet from Abenson. I was never lucky with these kinds of raffles so I wasn’t really expecting anything, but it sure was a treat to be picked as one of the winners of a The Cream Factory Bath Cream! Among the special prizes raffled off are beautiful plates for VIP’s from Glorietta and items from Lazada.

The mums also went home with different treats from our friends, including a bag of goodies from Fly Ace, GC’s from Nailaholics and Zomato, a gift from Teleserv, a new body-shaper from Triumph, a loot from Nature Essentials and Renuzit. And as a bribe for our little bosses, we also went home with a bag of sweets from Trolli. Oh, and did I mention Krispy Kreme  is also one of our party sponsors? And of course, before everyone went home, we just had that obligatory group photo taken! 🙂

It sure was a lovely afternoon filled with fun, food, and freebies, but more than anything else, it was a beautiful afternoon well spent with beautiful people I am most pleased to have known. Thank you all for the gift of a wonderful community of mums. This group reminds me so much of our other group, PMC, which is not as active these days. I look forward to more events with MBP and hopefully next year we might be able to invite everyone in the group for a huge Christmas Party! I also hope that we might be able to have interesting projects next year, where we can also get our little ones involved. Kudos to mums Lanie, Louisa, and Joy for a job well done, and until our next event! ^_^
